Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the insurance register and assist
in claims when incidences occur. - Regular check of fixed assets register and
ensure that monthly depreciation is properly maintained, ensure the fixed
asset register matches with balances in the accounting system. - Initiate monthly verification.
- Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, creditors.
- Prepare weekly and monthly listing of
Debtors. - Confirming completeness and accuracy of
transactions and accounts on a Monthly basis. - Ensure statutory payments are made by the
due dates. (PAYE, LST, VAT, NSSF, and Corporation TAX) and ensure that
they are correctly computed. - Monthly provisions.
- Preparing for and assist during annual
audits. - Properly Manage the Petty cash.
- Actively participate in the end month
reporting. - Other additional duties as may be directed
by the Finance Manager or General Manager
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:
Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree
in Accounting or Finance (Business Administration) - ICPAU or ACCA certification or equivalent
Ugandan certifications. - At least three years’ experience in
similar position. - Two years’ experience of Oil & Gas
industry will be added advantage. - Knowledge of IFRS accounting rules.
- Vast experience in tax matters.
- High Ethical values and strict discipline
of integrity. - Ability to be innovative.
- Good leadership skills.
- Ability to take initiative and be a
self-starter. - Knowledge of industry changes in regards
to issues affecting Finance. - Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good team player.
- Ability to maintain confidential
information. - Good negotiation skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Analytical skills.
