About US:
Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services in Uganda (for people with
disability) was established in 2006 as a private non-profit, non-governmental
organization and is supported by CBM (Christian Blind Mission). CoRSU
Rehabilitation Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre on Entebbe Road provides
Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Rehabilitation, mainly for children
with disability.
Job Summary: The Procurement
Officer will support the Procurement Specialist to ensure value for Money (VFM)
for all procurements and disposal needs of the Hospital through efficient and
effective systems in compliance with the procurement manual and applicable
legal framework.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:  
  • Develop a specific procurement activity
    plan for approved procurement requisitions prepared
  • Specific bidding documents or bid
    invitation letters or forms for approved procurement requisitions prepared
  • Procurement plan implemented
  • Tasked with the processing and procurement
    of goods/supplies, works, consultancy and non-consultancy carried in a
    timely manner
  • Build the capacity of key staff involved
    in procurement built/raised through regular support and training
  • Ensure that procurement targets are
    achieved for the Procurement Department
  • Send regular monthly/ weekly procurement
    performance reports on assigned procurements
  • Build cooperative and ethical
    relationships with providers.
  • Required paper work processed,
Qualifications, Skills and
Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold an Honors Degree in Procurement and Logistics or Supply Chain Management or any other business
    related degree.
  • One year of experience of working in a
    busy procurement unit.
  • Computer literacy skills
  • The incumbent must be conversant with the
    Tally accounting system
  • Previous exposure and experience should be
    in an NGO
  • Must be of high moral character with a
    high degree of integrity.
  • Good team player and excellent
    interpersonal skills.
  • Highly analytical skills and abilities
  • Good problem solving skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and
    communication skills.
