Job Summary: The Commercial Manager will be responsible for
overseeing and driving commercial activities within a growing section of our
business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with the General Manager, this position will be responsible
for overseeing a particular section of our business, aggressively driving
sales both within Uganda and internationally. - The role will be required to develop and implement a commercial
strategy for domestic and international sales in line with the overall
strategy of the business. - Responsible for building strong, scalable and sustainable
relationships with clients that lead to new and repeat sales
opportunities. - Required to liaise closely with other departments such as Logistics,
Finance, Quality and Production in order to ensure client needs are met
and all orders fulfilled on time, every time and to the required
standards. - Required to monitor the daily global and domestic market in order to
make sound decisions and recommendations on new business development
opportunities. - Responsible for managing a sales team and network of agents across
East Africa. - Responsible for ensuring regular communication between departments
and with clients.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant should have relevant experience in a similar
commercial position with a proven track record in delivering against
challenging sales targets. - Knowledge and experience of the commodities industry within a
similar position. - Good awareness of compliance best practices, regulation and solid
experience in managing compliance paper trails ensuring that key documents
are completed to the relevant standard
Abilityitoiperformiunderipressureiandiexperienceiinimanagingifieldi based
sales teams. - Comprehensive understanding of key business processes within a
manufacturing environment producing end user consumable products –
experience within the coffee industry would be considered an advantage. - Ability to work well under pressure with a proactive can-do-attitude
- The applicant must be numerate with strong I.T. skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
