modern methods of pain and symptom control as well as “whole-person”
(holistic) care for patients living with cancer and HIV/AIDS. HAU strives to
uphold excellent clinical standards and provide quality education courses and
advocacy activities to promote the spread of palliative care throughout Uganda
and Africa.

Job Summary: The Fundraising Officer works with Program
& Development department to devise and implement the strategy for
fundraising.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pursue and monitor fundraising initiatives as per HAU’s
sustainability plan for new or increased contributions - Develop materials for fundraising initiatives. With Communications
officer, maintains media and contact lists - Recruits and supervises sponsors, staff, volunteers and the public
for fundraising events. Updates donor databases - Coordinates fundraising activities including web based/ online and
social media - Attend events, meetings, etc to promote HAU goals and to solicit
donations from individuals or corporate donors - Supports the departments donor surveillance work.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Degree with experience in sales/marketing,
public relations, events management, advertisement, media or business. - Fundraising training is an added advantage,
- Relationship management, creativity, entrepreneurial attitude,
enthusiasm to carry out fundraising protects, and communication.
