Job Title:    Manager Surveys and Mapping

About US:

Kampala Capital City Authority is the legal entity, established by the Ugandan Parliament that is responsible for the operations of the capital city of Kampala in Uganda. It replaced the Kampala City Council.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible to the Deputy Director Land Administration and Surveys for performing the following duties:-

• Coordinating and reviewing the process of acquiring spatial information required by KCCA for proper management;
• Developing, implementing and maintaining spatial records and Information System that enhances total integrity and security of records/information in line with best practice standards, and physical planning work plan;
• Developing and implementing collaborative networks with other institutions and Departments within and outside KCCA doing similar work for continuous updating of the stored data;
• Providing technical advice to all KCCA departments that require spatial information for their operations;
• Coordinating and supervising analysis of the spatial data collected and preparing analytical report for management’s attention;
• Managing performance and development of staff in line with identified needs and Human Resource Policy;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honors Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying and Geomatics; or Land Surveying and Geo-Spatial Science; or Land Surveying and Information Systems Land Management from a recognized University / Institution plus a Masters Degree in any of the above fields from a recognized University / Institution. Applicants must be registered with a relevant professional body.
• Applicants should have a minimum of seven (7) years relevant working experience in physical planning and urban planning, three (3) of which must have been gained at Principal or Middle management level in Government.
• Age: 30 years and above
