Job Summary:   The ICT Support Officer will provide user support on company supported computer applications and platforms, troubleshoot problems and advise on appropriate action.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications used in the banking environment.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to implement system upgrades and improvements.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of IT systems by implementing and enforcing best practices.
  • Assist in the management of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Respond to IT support tickets and service requests in a timely and customer- focused manner.
  • Conduct end-user training sessions on IT-related topics.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of IT issues and solutions.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in IT support in the banking sector.
  • Experience with desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and software Installations.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and network protocols.
  • Familiarity with banking software and systems.
  • Strong understanding of security protocols and data protection.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
