Job Summary:  As a Social Media & Communication Officer, you will be the driving force behind our social media presence, responsible for developing and implementing strategies to build brand awareness, engage with the target audience, and drive user acquisition. Your role will be pivotal in establishing and growing our online community, creating compelling content, and maximizing the impact of social media for the success of the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, upload and maintain content in all social media sites in a timely manner.
  • Develop and execute a dynamic social media strategy tailored to the startup environment, focusing on rapid growth and audience engagement.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media initiatives.
  • Create an accurate engaging and shareable content for various social media platforms, ensuring alignment with the brand and messaging goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights and product updates for content creation.
  • Establish and nurture an active and engaged online community around the brand.
  • Foster relationships with influencers and thought leaders in the Fintech and startup space to enhance brand credibility.
  • Plan and execute creative social media campaigns to support product launches, promotions, and other key business initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, adjusting strategies for optimal results.
  • Monitor social media channels in real-time, responding promptly to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Leverage trends and conversations to enhance brand visibility and relevance.
  • Develop and implement paid social media advertising campaigns, maximizing budget effectiveness and targeting the right audience segments.
  • Stay updated on advertising trends and explore innovative ways to reach and convert users as well as ensuring that the company website is up to date.
  • Utilize social media analytics tools to track performance metrics and generate regular reports.
  • Develop and design company marketing tool such as advertising material such as; e-flyers, catalogues, calendars. etc.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms to keep the company’s social media strategy agile and effective.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 2-3 years in social media management, preferably in a startup or Fintech environment.
  • Demonstrated success in growing social media communities and driving user engagement.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop compelling and shareable content.
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
