Job Summary:   The Rapid Response Coordinator supports the Rapid Response department in responding to human rights violations, developing rapid response plans and concepts, organizing, and training the rapid response teams, and ensuring effective timely delivery and consistency with rapid response plan.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  As the Rapid Response Coordinator, the Employee is required to perform the following duties and professionally undertake the following responsibilities

  • Respond to human rights violations and attend related meetings on behalf of the organization.
  • Develop rapid response plans, and concepts and implement activities about Rapid Response.
  • Tasked to form rapid response teams and solidarity support groups.
  • Render support in training, especially about rapid response teams and solidarity support groups.
  • Assist with organizing activists and change agents to act accordingly to enhance social justice and social change in any community.
  • Take part in conducting coaching sessions (by phone or in person) for the organization’s trainees and partners.
  • Engage activists for appropriate rapid response activities using established rapid response plans
  • Preparing narrative reports that are weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on activities carried out.
  • Coordinating with allies and partners for support.
  • Develop and maintain a rapid response checklist.
  • Other duties may arise.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Degree in social work and social administration, public administration, law, and any related course of humanities.
  • At least two years of considerable experience with advocacy work, and community organizing for social justice and change.
  • Great interpersonal relations
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to deal with emergencies.
  • Fast problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills.
  • Discipline and self-motivation
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
