Job Summary:   Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit dynamic and competent individuals to fill 2 vacancies for the position of Employment Promotion Officer based either in the Jinja or Fort Portal Office

 

The employment promotion officer will support the day-to-day implementation, quality assurance and partnership management with the aim to enhance the opportunities for youth and young women to find decent employment.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Joining Enabel as a Employment Promotion Officer, you will be directly reporting to the Intervention Manager and you will perform the following key tasks:

  • You will map and coordinate labour market actors and labour market intelligence systems;
  • You will supporting the delivery of inclusive career support services in target regions, with a particular focus on job matching services; and,
  • You will lead the implementation of first employment placements for graduates with qualifications in agriculture and TVET.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Guidance and Counselling, or any other business-related fields.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management; Social Sciences. Vocational Studies; Education; Guidance and Counselling; Business Administration; Industrial Engineering or related fields
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in implementing activities aimed at promoting access to employment for youth;
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in career support services (e.g. career guidance and counselling/coaching/mentorship, job search assistance, CV writing support, work-readiness training, job and skills matching, job placements);
  • Experience in carrying out diagnosis or assessments to analyse labour market information or in supporting (local/regional) labour market governance is an added advantage;
