Kiira Motors Corporation or KMC is a State Enterprise in Uganda established to champion the Development of the Domestic Automotive Value Chain for job and wealth creation.

 

Job Summary: The Health and Wellness Officer is responsible for the development, coordination and maintenance of high functioning and well-informed health and wellbeing programs to support employees of Kiira Motors Corporation.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective partnership working with local health and wellbeing services, early help/intervention teams and other community partners to ensure timely and effective support, signposting, referrals, and intervention that lead to successful outcomes for employees.
  • Plan for and facilitate the active promotion of health and wellbeing related policies, procedures and systems as requested to support the wider personal development agenda, including the delivery of relevant activities, maintenance of display boards and publicity materials in relation to health and wellbeing service.
  • Co-ordinate the Company counselling services, infirmary, health and wellbeing zones and contemplation rooms so that employees have appropriate spaces in which to better understand and improve their emotional wellbeing.
  • Capture and utilize health and wellbeing data to monitor and report on issues in order to inform and tailor service delivery and improvement, contributing to the development of reports as required.
  • Contribute to the development and support the successful implementation of robust policies, procedures and systems needed to keep employees physically and emotionally healthy.
  • Undertake regular professional development to ensure health and wellbeing practices are relevant and the company is equipped to address employee needs and any new emerging themes/initiatives.
  • Lead, mentor, develop, coach, train and appraise subordinates and peers to help them be successful in their roles and to progress in their skills and abilities.
  • Develop and implement Monthly Work Plans necessary for executing the above duties and responsibilities and Performance Reports detailing all health and wellness aspects within the company.
  • Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in Sports Science, Industrial Psychology, Nutrition or Health-Related Field from a Recognized Institution.
  • The applicant should have General Working Experience of at least Two years. The applicant should have served as a Health and Wellness Officer or related field in a reputable organization for at least One year.
  • A thorough Understanding of Health and Wellness Practices
  • Strategic Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Data Analysis and Data Management
  • Documentation and Records Management
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Systems
