Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In accordance with existing laws and internal policies and procedures, provide support to the Compliance Manager and Compliance Officer to organize and implement of the various actions necessary to the deployment of Compliance Program in particular:
  • Support the implementation of the Compliance Program within the company.
  • Prepare Compliance awareness circulars to staff about the various internal rules and regulations adopted or updated and ensuring their application.
  • Support the performing and reporting activities required of Compliance Officers and to the Fraud Risk Coordinators in accordance with the directives, “métier procedures” or recommendations, including the due diligence tasks that are required therein.
  • Alerting the Compliance Manager and Compliance Officers of any violation of the rules and/or any incident of corruption that comes to his/her attention and keeping the Compliance Officer abreast of the status of the case.
  • Support in analyzing incidents of fraud (or fraud attempts) transmitted to him/her and, if relevant, defining, coordinating, and structuring an action plan, ensuring follow-up with the help of the Compliance Manager and Compliance Officer of the company.
  • Support the Compliance Officers in alerting the Branch Fraud Risk Coordinator and any identified functions at branch or corporate level in certain incidents (or attempts) of fraud.
  • Providing assistance to the different sectors of the entity on directives and procedures relating to the Programs.
  • In coordination with the Compliance Manager and Compliance Officer as well as HR Division, promote training tools (including e-learning) and raising-awareness and training actions to the staff required by the Program, and monitoring performance indicators giving the participation levels within the company and where applicable associated projects.
  • Support in establishing and maintaining a secure and detailed archiving /document conservation system, particularly with respect to due diligence documentation, according to Group rules.
  • Reporting periodically on KPI relating to his/her activities to the Compliance Manager.
  • Support the affiliate attain a regulatory standard of 100% due annual Conflict of Interest declaration campaigns.
  • Support in the closing of audit observations relating to compliance and all such compliance audit recommendations by liaising with all stakeholders to complete issue closures.
  • Support in the conduct and completion of the periodic compliance risk assessments including tracking of recommendations arising out of them.
  • Support in the update of the compliance framework policies, procedures, and guidance notes.
  • Support in the conduct of due diligence by providing compliance advisory on completion, on risk mitigation measures and tracking of their implementation.
  • Support in the conduct of Compliance SOX Controls covering Entity Level Controls.
  • Support in the compliance review of the e-registers.
  • Support in the compliance review of the accounting controls including payments to public officials.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism demanded of Compliance Officers by being exemplary in the compliance with the company requirements as well as being above reproach.
  • Contribution to the protection and reputation of the Group by helping to ensure that it operates in accordance with anti-corruption laws and internal norms.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Legal, Business or any related field.
  • At least five years of experience in a Legal or Compliance or Risk or Audit or Internal Control or Methods roles.
  • Experience in the Oil & gas industry is an added advantage.
