About US:

Cairo Bank Uganda Limited was incorporated on 11th July, 1994.  The Bank was formerly known as Cairo International Bank owned by the three leading Egyptian Banks namely; Banque Du Caire, Bank Misr and National Bank of Egypt.  In 2019, it became a fully owned subsidiary of Banque Du Caire (BDC). The shareholder consolidation in 2019 was on the back of expanding its presence across Africa whilst providing an entry point into the COMESA market.

 

Job Summary:  The Product Development Manager will be responsible for planning, development and modification of Bank products and services tailored to meet customer needs in line with the identified market segments, the strategic plan, and the regulatory framework.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing the bank’s products and services that appeal to the Bank’s target market.
  • Monitoring product performance against set product performance.
  • Monitoring competition’s product initiatives to ensure the Bank’s product competitiveness in the market.
  • Regularly conduct product appraisals on existing and new products with the aim of reviewing performance of each product and share periodic product performance report.
  • Developing new and innovative strategies through which the bank’s existing or new products and services can be cost effectively and efficiently delivered to target market/customer segments.
  • Identifying potential partnerships to enhance the bank’s product offering.
  • Managing the product development process from concept to implementation with all key stakeholders
  • Monitor and report on progress on project implementation against set milestones to all key stakeholders.
  • Support in timely launch of new products to ensure a wider range of products is offered to customers relevant to their segments, thereby resulting into increased sales.
  • Participate in reviewing and setting prices and/or tariffs for the Bank’s financial products /services to ensure they can cost effectively and efficiently delivered to targeted market segments.
  • Deliver bank wide product training in line with the identified training needs.
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor in line with the role.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • At least four years of work experience in the banking industry.
  • Knowledge of Branch processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of banks products, services and policies and procedures
  • Computer literate with certification in Microsoft programs; Excel, word, and Access
  • Experience in project management is an added advantage.
