Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services (UIBFS) is a Centre of Excellence in Financial Services Training in Uganda. The Institute is designed to promote professionalism, and inclusion through market-led training, research, and consultancy to providers and users of financial services. The Institute’s training programs cover Professional, Short & Executive, Specialized, and Post Graduate Courses.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop new products and services for all Institute business units for the target customers in line with business objectives.
  • Plan and coordinate product-oriented marketing and profitability analysis.
  • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys to assess performance on service delivery and to verify whether the Institute’s existing products meet customer preferences and desires.
  • Participate in the implementation of new products Pilot Test and Rollout Protocols for new products and services and monitor progress in their implementation.
  • Deliver Product and Service knowledge to the public or intended recipients during the Institute’s various marketing and sales promotional campaigns/events in line with the Institute’s Marketing Strategy
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of Brand application across all brand touch points to ensure consistency of the brand across the Institute
  • Monitor and assess the Institute’s brand equity through market surveys, observations, internal audits, and mystery shopping to understand Institute Institute’s brand performance in the financial institution’s sector
  • Identify branding needs and ensure these are addressed promptly in liaison with the respective departments to ensure the maintenance of high standards across the board
  • Design and implement promotion plans for Institute products and services in accordance with the Institute’s objectives/business strategy.
  • Design, implement, and review the distribution of the advertising and promotional and marketing communication items/ programs of the Institute in line with the Institute’s objectives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold an Honor’s degree in, Mass communication or Marketing or Business Administration (Marketing options), or Public Relations, or any bachelor’s degree with marketing professional qualification from a recognized university/Institution.
  • A Master’s qualification in any of the courses above is an added advantage
  • Membership in a relevant professional association (s) is an added advantage
  • Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a branding/ marketing role in a large commercial establishment preferably a financial institution
  • Customer-centric disposition
  • Ability to handle multiple projects
  • Able to work under minimal supervision
  • A team player
  • Strong research, report writing, communication and networking skills/ Interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Integrity and confidentiality
  • Excellent Report writing skills
  • Superior Analytical skills
  • Ability to work and produce accurate results in an environment with multiple and challenging tasks
  • Ability to meet timelines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
