Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper and effective internal controls and safety standards are in place within the domain of responsibility.
  • Active promoter of the 12 Golden Rules as well as actively participates in Company Safety awareness campaigns.
  • Organize follow up of HSE anomalies and events reported within the Services perimeter; monitor corrective actions to be implemented.

Planning, Procedures and KPIs:

  • Ensure full compliance with SOX standards with respect to system security and reporting.

Lead and suggest resources definition for associated activities:

  • Plan, organize and monitor the materials team operational duty roster and site supervision.
  • Ensure team members are trained according to Company HSE requirements.
  • Ensure that the materials team complies with the FTW requirement
  • Monitor and optimize the cost of logistics operations.
  • Propose improvement for operational procedures as per Company rules and standards.
  • Follow-up the KPI’s indicators; participate in the definition, implementation, and monitoring of action plans.

Operational Leadership & Continues Improvement:

  • Openly question established practices to achieve continuous quality and cost optimization improvements.
  • Identify and adopt creative and alternative approaches to problem-solving and encourage others to do the same.
  • Optimize the resources and operations in line with the 3C principles and LEAN methodology.

Operations:

  • Ensure that all stock and non-stock items, that are received; conform with the approved purchase order in terms of quantity and quality and reports discrepancies to procurement.
  • Ensure that all stocks items are safely and efficiently stored using the material number and in accordance with established procedures and ensures that all consumables are properly followed.
  • Receive approved requests for issue of items and ensure that such requests are promptly and efficiently dealt with by Warehouse staff.
  • Ensure 100% of issuance are tracked and approved by supporting documents, dockets.
  • Operate the computer UNISOL system of stock movements according to the various posts.
  • Request for stock replenishments in case of shortage and propose stock replenishment levels.
  • Propose items creation, list of scrap for obsoletes and participate in stock analysis and stock optimization.
  • Provide inputs into monthly and annual inventories, for the purposes of internal and external auditors, finance and partners.
  • In co-ordination with Stock Controller, ensure that all inventory discrepancies are reconciled and review the computer database system to seek ways for improvement.
  • Implement all necessary processes to ensure that all equipment and materials are available on time, in proper working conditions and have passed the necessary QA/QC requirements.
  • Keep records of any QA/QC documentations during reception process: certificates, inspection reports and ensure certificates are available with items during issuing process.
  • Ensure that appropriate handling and packing is provided for the preparation of baskets and containers used for the transfer of all material/equipment required at operational site(s), with an emphasis on the application of safe systems and methods including IMDG and IATA regulations.
  • Ensure correct coordination and interface with company representatives on drilling pads and operational sites for all equipment/material requirements on a short- and medium-term basis.
  • In co-ordination with DW Material Coordinators to determine trucks priorities and issues manifests for Drilling, Logistics and Construction equipment’s on operational sites;

Methods:

  • Prepare and maintain Logistics, QA/QC, Warehousing and Stock Management procedures.
  • Prepare, review and update as necessary all procedures covering the receipt, handling, and storage issuing and inventory of all materials, with an emphasis on the application of safe systems and methods.
  • Establish and implements preservation procedures.
  • Report any anomaly in the process and/or system to the end user(s) and/or to the Stock Controller.
  • Personnel Management and competencies development:
  • Should it be required, carry out appraisals of Company subordinates in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Maintain and demonstrate own competency through LSO CAP (Competency Assessment Program).

Reporting and Investigation:

  • Daily: MTR / FWB – all movements being captured for traceability purpose.
  • Maintain records and statistics to ensure accurate reporting, follow up KPIs and CPIs related to the associated activities; these records will be used for cost allocation and invoice verification.
  • Ensure line management kept informed on relevant issues which could affect safety, operational and commercial aspects of the operations.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant should preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics discipline or equivalent
  • Five to ten years of experience in operational Logistics (Drilling, Seismic and Construction) with strong knowledge in Oil and Gas industry including 5 years’ experience in the materials/warehousing field & 3 years supervisory experience in related environment.
  • An analytical mind, organizational rigor, holistic approach, tenacity, capabilities to demonstrate good leadership within a team to produce a safe, efficient well run through operations; ability to adapt, to analyze problems and communicate with many entities.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, work under pressure and demonstrate organizational and effective skills.
  • A high level of computer competency and previous experience of computerized stock systems is essential;
  • Knowledge of SAP MM (Material Management Module) would be an advantage.
