Job Summary:  The Service Staff is responsible for Opening and Closing the offices, loading and offloading of materials. He will support the Administrative Officer in ensuring the safety at the premises and delivery of documents to and from the country office.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • To open and close the offices in time
  • Load and offload official materials at the Country Office
  • Be available at the work station to fulfil his duties, except on official away duty Support the Administrative Assistant to deliver official documents and other vital materials to and from the Country Office.
  • Work with the Administrative Assistant to ensure maximum safety and security of the office premises and property through continuous check-ups and patrols at the station.
  • Support the Administrative Assistant in generator maintenance and distribution of drinking water
  • Bring to the attention of the authorities any matter that may compromise the security of the work station and properties there in.
  • Prepare and submit standard monthly incident reports and other supporting documents to the supervisor and relevant partners on a timely basis. Uphold the BRAC vision, mission, core values and policies including an effective safeguarding policy;

Safeguarding responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do the same

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Uganda Certificate of Education
  • One year of experience in a janitorial related position in a recognized organization
  • Integrity Interpersonal skills
  • Security Alertness Diligence and Self-drive
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Team work
  • Good communication skills.
