Job Title:   Driver (2 Fresher A’ Level Jobs)   

Organisation: Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB)

Duty Station: Kampala, Uganda

Reports to: Administrative Officer

 

About US:

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is established as a Statutory Body under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210. The Bureau is a key player in Commercial, Civil and Intellectual Property Rights Registration that facilitate private sector development and vital statistics for national planning.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drives staff on a routine basis as required
  • Ensures that the vehicle is tidy and clean at all times
  • Delivers mail and other official documents to specified destinations as instructed.
  • Guides the supervisor when the vehicle is due for service.
  • Fuels the vehicle as instructed.
  • Reports accidents to the police and submits a police report to the Supervisor
  • Ensures safe custody of the vehicle at night especially when on upcountry trips
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

 

Key Outputs

  • To drive URSB vehicles as instructed and keep them in clean and serviceable condition.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold an A’ level certificate
  • A valid driver’s permit
  • A certificate in defensive driving is added advantage
