BRAC Uganda Bank Ltd promotes financial inclusion by extending financial services to unserved and underserved populations. especially women and youth as well as people living in poverty in rural areas. The Bank is operationally and financially self-sustaining with over 231,000 active customers and a loan book in excess of Ushs.175 billion.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take overall oversight, planning, and supervision of the Procurement function.
  • Provide procurement support to business units while ascertaining accountability in accordance to the bank policies and procedures, for efficient, effective and economy of operations.
  • Take lead in development, review, and update of the procurement policies and procedures to match the business environment.
  • Take lead in development of procurement plans and guide all users in procurement planning and actual procurement processes.
  • Advice management on procurement matters and provide routine reports, updates and escalate all issues with potential to disrupt smooth business operations.
  • Any other duty that may be assigned




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain and Management Procurement and Logistics or any other related field.
  • Possession of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supplies (CIPS) certification shall be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a procurement role, and supervisory experience of at least two years.
  • Demonstrated high levels of integrity
  • Analytical skills and ability to pay attention to details
  • Good presentation skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, and work under pressure negotiation,
  • Interpersonal, networking skills
