Job Summary:  We are seeking to recruit an accomplished AutoCAD specialist to use computer-aided design techniques (AUTOCAD) to prepare drawings for various product models being produced for our Environment Department.  S/He will be required to meet with our team to observe and discuss design elements of our models, and drawings based on actual measurements. This position requires the candidate to observe, inspect at the field level and to prepare all necessary documentation.

 

Candidate Profile: You must have extensive experience working with AutoCAD software or similar, advanced design skills, and a keen eye for detail. Ultimately, creating high-level design models that meet all the specifications.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create drawings and plans
  • Collaborate with engineers and constructors on projects
  • Determine the correct size and materials for products
  • Compile data and specifications sheets
  • Produce draft design and diagrams according to the given specifications
  • Ensuring product designs meet the required safety and structural standards
  • Presenting various design perspectives for construction improvements and adaptations
  • Presenting design drafts for senior management
  • Completing job reports.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or architectural studies.
  • 5+ years’ work experience as an AutoCAD drafter
  • Advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software or similar
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering, and architecture
  • Excellent technical design skills
  • Ability to project manage, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • The drawings will be required within the project stipulated time and therefore, the engineer should be ready to work overtime to deliver on projects.
  • 3 Works samples must be submitted for review
  • Must have own laptop and software
