Job Summary:  Successful candidates must have relevant experience in similar roles, ideally within the oil, gas or engineering sector. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a project environment, and will have strong communication skills.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with HR/IR, Subcontracts, Procurement, and HSE to ensure labor and working conditions comply with Modern Slavery legislation
  • Work with HR/IR on worker rights, including monitoring forced labor, child labor, gender, ethnic tension, and other human rights issues
  • Ensure appropriate training for site personnel
  • Conduct/ensure due diligence, such as registration verification, bid evaluations, contract agreements, spot checks, and audits of living and working conditions
  • Work with HR/IR, Supply Chain, and Legal to ensure grievance mechanisms are aligned across community, labor, and legal/ethics
  • Ensue that the National Content Plan is followed by all parties (McDermott and Subcontractors).
  • Managing the training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures are included.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • NGO, governmental, or donor experience in community development or HR
  • Willingness to learn human rights standards and systems
