Mildmay Uganda is an
indigenous Christian NGO that offers General and HIV/AIDS medical services also
providing technical support for Ministry of Health Systems to scale up
comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services.

 

Job Summary:   The Linkage and Retention Officer will provide
technical support for the establishment and maintenance of functional referral
and linkage systems between facility and community structures, as well as
provide technical support for achievement of epidemic control targets 95% 95%
linkage and Retention. S/He will also be responsible for ensuring effective
linkages of new positives, early retention of clients in care, retention of clients
in cohorts and support data-driven retention in line with facility targets; as
well as support the active engagements of facilities in file audits,
triangulation of data between the reporting systems ART Register, EMR and
dispensing log in order to have a better retention for the facility district
and Region.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·        
The
applicant must hold a Bachelors degree in Counselling/Development
Studies/Social Sciences/Community Psychology/Public Health or other related
field

·        
A minimum
of five years of experience in Community/Public Health Programmes.
Certificate/Training in Counselling is a must.

·        
The
successful candidate must have 5 years of experience in implementing Community
based health programmes.

·        
S/He
must have demonstrable experience in PEPFAR supported programs especially in
linkage and retention of clients in care; demonstrable experience, knowledge
& skill in Counselling;

·        
Experience
implementing MOH and PEPFAR Community Health Frameworks; demonstrable
experience with Participatory Community Approaches

·        
Strong
partnership and collaborative skills and ability to influence behavioural
change.
