Baylor-Uganda is a
private not for profit child health and development organization providing
family-centered pediatric HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services,
health professional training, and clinical research in Uganda. Baylor College
of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous
not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the
Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a
Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres
of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa
and Eastern Europe.

 

Job Summary:   The
Gender/KP Coordinator will be responsible for developing strategies and
offering technical guidance for mainstreaming gender in all technical areas,
including provision of post Gender Based Violence care and support to HFs and
community service points. It will be responsible for developing strategies that
address gender norms that expose people to HIV infection. It will also oversee gender
integration and prevention for KP/PP.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·        
The
applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Public Health or an equivalent.

·        
A
Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery or related field.

·        
At least
four years of relevant experience in Comprehensive HIV programming, gender
& human rights programming, in a reputable Non-Governmental Organization.
