Job Summary:   The
Senior Economist will ensure that all assignments are carried out to the
highest standards in order to provide outstanding value to clients and the
Firm.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
Conduct
economic analysis and provide technical and policy advice, delivery and
leadership on economic policy on the Project;

·        
Analyses
global and country specific requirements as well as economic, social,
environmental factors to provide critical input to the Project;

·        
Reviewing
and advising on the technical quality of economics research on the Project as
required; and,

·        
Take a
lead role in the development of quantitative appraisal techniques, focusing on
economic and financial modelling.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·        
The
applicant for the Deloitte Senior Economist career placement must hold an advanced
degree in economics, public administration, business, or other relevant field;

·        
Additional
professional credentials preferred (such as, illustratively, a Ph.D. in a
required field, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CA, industrial or other professional
certifications that denote specific technical, business, or industry qualifications
relevant to the required area of work);

·        
At least
ten (10) years of professional experience in economic development, preferably
with donor-funded projects in Uganda or other developing countries;

·        
Experience
managing and working on donor-funded capacity building projects, including
working with senior level Government, private sector, and NGO counterparts;

·        
Demonstrated
leadership, decision-making, attention to detail, ability to work as part of a
team, and management skills;

·        
Strong
analytical and communication capabilities; and,

·        
Be a
Ugandan Citizen.
