Job Summary:   The Project
Coordinator – Buikwe MNCH Project will lead the implementation of all project
activities in the designated sub-counties/ areas and ensure the quality of the
project in line with Ministry of Health(MoH) policies and World Vision
strategic imperatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and build strategic networks with other actors to support
    the districts in implementation of MNCH strategies.
  • Dialogue with the Ministry of Health to improve government
    interventions in the area of MNCH, quality improvement approaches
    including mentoring and coaching of service providers.
  • Ensure full participation of beneficiary communities in design,
    monitoring and evaluation by attending community mobilizations, meetings
    and community trainings.
  • Support effective monitoring, documentation and reporting in
    compliance with agreed standards.
  • Ensure proper management of financial resources and assets in line
    with WV policies and adhere to WV finance and asset management policies.
  • Engage with the District and Sub County Health authorities and
    support the Program Manager in managing relations with government
    structures and civil society coalitions.
  • Effectively network with District, lower local government structures
    and any other agencies undertaking activities in the target community and
    ensure that such activities are well integrated with World Vision and
    community activities to promote sustainability and ownership of
    interventions in planning and implementation.
  • Identify areas for lobbying and advocacy and work with the Health
    Technical program officer to develop action plans/initiatives to address
    the same.
  • Compile field visit and data validation reports and identify
    opportunities for improvement and present monthly, quarterly, bi-annual
    and annual reports in line with WV standards to the Program Manager.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant for the World Vision Project Coordinator Buikwe MNCH
    Project job placement should preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any of
    the following disciplines: Nursing, Nutrition, public Health and / or any
    other Health related discipline.
  • A Master’s Degree in Public Health is an added advantage
  • At least five years’ experience in managing MNCH related projects at
    district level.
  • High level of understanding of the MNCH, QI and system strengthening
    programming
  • Must have strong organizational skills and ability to work with
    diverse teams across the organization
  • Excellent skills in program design, reporting, documentation,
    monitoring and evaluation
  • A mature and committed Christian, able to stand above denominational
    diversities
  • Demonstrated commitment to World Vision’s mission statement and Core
    Values.
  • Valid practicing license for medical professions
