financial support to Parastatals, Corporates, Small and Medium Enterprises,
Individuals, and Non-Governmental Organisations.

Job Summary:  The System Development Officer will mainly
maintain a stable core banking system Globus T24 and all other bank databases
(Systems) in proper functioning state.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Tasked with the maintenance of the core banking system T24 in both
    functional and technical aspects in proper functional state.
  • Globus user administration and support.
  • Maintain all technical aspects of third party integrations with T24
    like, ATM switch (Vision), internet banking, Ewater, Etax, Tcserver, Ensst
    etc E
  • Maintenance of all functional and technical aspects of other
    databases like CQ, CRB, NAVISION, HR. Clearing system etc. in proper
    functional state.
  • Design management reports whenever need arises.
  • Develop, maintain and improve any other in house designed database
    system.
  • Prepare periodic reports and other related documents for management
    as when required.
  • Run EOD on a daily basis.
  • Perform any other duties as required by management from time to
    time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in either computer
    Science or information Technology
  • Two years of working experience in busy IT environment.
  • Ability to communicate the design and implementation of software
    systems including relevant strengths/weaknesses and reasons for implementation
    decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of programming Si prototyping languages such as
    Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, PHP 5. J2EE, Visual Studio, web standards.
  • Ability to use one or more lDEs (e.g. Eclipse) and interactive
    debuggers effectively.
  • Advance experience developing data-driven applications utilizing
    significant relational database engines as part of the overall application
    architecture.
  • Experience with MS SOL is required. However, any other knowledge of
    relational databases like MySQL, postgress and oracle is an added
    advantage.
  • Knowledge of T24 core banking is an added advantage.
