Job Summary: The Health and Safety Officer will be engaged in promoting occupational
health and safety within an organization by ensuring that the workplace
conforms to organizational procedures and safety standards/regulations. The
jobholder will focus on areas such as inspecting workplace and equipment,
ensure PPE is being used according to regulations, ensure an organization complies
with all legislation identity and testing work areas for potential accidents
and health hazards, carry out regular site inspections, keep workers,
supervisors informed often, communicate frequently with management to report on
the status of health and safety, conduct health awareness programs to site
employees and community, keep proper records on accidents, hazards and health
issue of workers and attending to emergencies.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate must have experience
in international occupational health and safety guidelines and best
practices - At least three years of relevant
experience. - A suitable candidate is expected to be
up to date with new legislation to maintain working knowledge of all
health and safety. - Previous experience in First Aid would
be an added advantage.
