Job Summary: The Programme Assistant will implement the
iSAVE Inclusive Economic Empowerment Programme. The job holder is responsible
for the day-to-day direct implementation of field activities as assigned by the
Programme Officer in Economic Empowerment Programme, taking lead in the
implementation of iSAVE Inclusive Economic Empowerment programme activities in
the district.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Programme Planning
and development

- Support in the development of the Economic Empowerment programme
- Develop periodic work plans for activity implementation and write
reports. - Make appropriate arrangements and prepare logistics for Programme
meetings, trainings and other activities. - Collect and share relevant program information and data in
accordance with the Programme/project M&E frameworks - Support M& E processes.
- Actively participate in preparation (content) and conducting of
trainings.

- Take lead in the implementation of iSAVE Inclusive Economic
Empowerment program activities in the district. - Supervise and appraise district based staff.
- Preside over community sensitization meetings. Support program wide
progress and impact assessments. - Carry out technical capacity assessments of the district and
establish District Unions’ specific work plans. - Be the District Union accounting person in regard to the Programme.
- Train community mobilizers I field promoters in the program models.
- Champion the collection and utilization of data under the programme
- Closely monitor the programme and ensure quality control.
- Network with other organizations in the field of economic
empowerment in the district - Provide advice and trainings of the field promoters and focal
persons according to agreed schedules and on demand basis - Provide regular technical oversight of the district union in regard
to activity planning, implementation and program performance. - Document lessons learnt and success stories to facilitate learning.
- Develop and submit monthly and quarterly progress financial and MIS
reports to the supervisor
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The Programme Assistant must hold a Degree in Social sciences,
Community Development, Business Studies or related field. - One year of experience in implementing livelihood interventions and
community savings schemes. - Community development. Livelihood empowerment. Training and research
skills. Administrative and coordination skills and motivational skills. - Computer literacy skills
