behalf of its valued Client. The client is one of the leading multinationals
companies in the gas and electricity sector with a global presence, operating
in 30 countries and with nearly 18 million customers. The Company’s fully owned
subsidiary in Uganda is focused on the operation, maintenance and management of
hydro-power stations. The Company requires competent individuals for various
positions for a hydro power plant in Achwa, near Gulu in Northern Uganda.
Job Summary:    The
Driver will provide secure and timely driving services to transport passengers
and/or goods. Deliver payment transfers to the bank and/or the suppliers,
assist with postage and with pick up of office purchases.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Transportation of
persons, goods and / or documents
  • Provide transportation for Site, Head Office and other employees of
    organization
  • Distribute mails, payment transfers and other correspondences as
    needed, both incoming and outgoing
  • Facilitate airport pickups for VIP visitors and transportation
    during official visits
Service vehicle
maintenance management
  • Determine when and what kind of maintenance the vehicle needs, keep
    track of general maintenance schedules, especially car tyre condition
  • Ensure sound running of the vehicles assigned and arrange minor
    repairs where necessary.
  • Check oil and tyres properly and keep the service vehicles in clean
    condition, both inside and outside
  • Keep track of timely car insurance renewals
  • Update monthly mileage records
  • Maintain log book of each service vehicle on daily basis
Cleaning and
Premises Management
  • Assist with office and meeting room re-arrangement of the premises
    for meetings
  • Occasional handyman jobs at the site, loading and offloading and
    small site office repairs
  • Carry out outdoor cleaning of compound and maintenance the site
    premiers are clean and safe

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold an A’ level certificate
  • Three years of experience as driver providing logistical/technical
    support;
  • Valid Driving license.
  • Defensive driving skills.
  • Good command of English and local languages
