Job Summary: The Regional Manager is responsible for coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of branch work Plans/activities in line with regional set targets and Bank policy

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Branch Coordination
  • Plan, co-ordinate and monitor Branch logistical support/needs like staffing, stationery, equipment etc. in line with the budget and business plan.
  • Coordinate implementation of the regional marketing strategies for bank products in line with set targets, business plan and bank policies.
  • Keenly monitor and review all aspects of compliance and risk and ensure that there is adherence to the bank policies and guidelines.
Risk and Compliance Management
  • Monitor the compliance of established policies, procedures in the respective branches, and implement incident reporting as per policy
  • Review and recommend appropriate amendments to both credit and Banking policies and procedures in line with strategic plan and best practice
Performance Management: Set targets for business growth (Lending & deposit) per Branch, monitor Branch performance in line with set targets and operations business strategy and Bank’s corporate plan.
Managing Client Relations
  • Monitor the implementation of customer service policies and make appropriate recommendations in line with the Banks customer service standards and strategy to increase the banks market share.
  • Stay abreast with latest market trends in the markets and advise customers
  • Recommend changes to meet customer business expectations and pricing based on customer value profitability and usage of bank services
  • Implementation of a robust customer visitation programme to achieve clear understanding of customer business needs.
People Management:
  • Manage performance and development of staff in line with HR policies. Lead the region in implementing strategic cente staff initiatives and inspire branch managers to lead their people.
  • Motivate and manage staff in the region to achieve performance targets and provide the required support for the achievement of business objectives.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Centenary Bank Regional Manager job placement should hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • At least five years of managerial experience in a financial environment, three (3) of which should have been in a branch manager role.
