Job Summary: The Health,
Safety & Environmental (HSE) Manager will carry out the day to day
operations of HSE for our different companies as well as contribute to the
application of effective Health and Safety Environmental management by
providing both technical and Management support.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:   
·        
Assist in compliance reviews, general risk
assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and
Environmental management.
·        
Maintain relevant HSE logs and documentation.
·        
Provide support in ensuring compliance with applicable
laws and regulations.
·        
Outline safe operational procedures which
identify and take into account all relevant hazards.
·        
Carry out regular site inspections to check
policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
·        
Ensure working practices are safe and comply
with legislation.
·        
Prepare health and safety strategies and develop
internal policy.
·        
Lead in-house training with managers and
employees about health and safety issues and risks.
·        
Keep records of inspection findings and produce
reports that suggest improvements.
·        
Record incidents and accidents and produce
statistics for managers.
·        
Keep up to date with new legislation and
maintain a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation
and any developments that affect the employer’s industry.
·        
Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire
regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and
occupational diseases.
·        
Prepare applicable HSE reports as necessary.
·        
Participate in detailed incident investigations
and Root Cause Analysis.
·        
Promote incident prevention for the benefit of
employees and visitors.
·        
Assist in the development and presentation of
relevant HSE training.
·        
Observe HSE regulations, wears all required
safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards
immediately or reports them to the proper personnel.
·        
Maintain positive and proactive relations with
managers and employees, as well as our customers and regulatory agencies.
Operational Areas/Site Specific
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
·        
Walk around operational areas as whenever
required to establish HSE presence and provide support.
·        
Conduct HSE Meetings/Trainings and schedule as
needed.
·        
Write, implement, and manage HSE Programs,
Policies and Procedures.
·        
Perform HSE Inspections to the different sites.
·        
Ability to evaluate PPE and ensure proper use
and maintenance of PPE.
·        
Have knowledge and enforce compliance of
Regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA among others), including company HSE
policies and procedures.
·        
Assist in emergency response and provide first
aid treatment.
·        
Oversee Behavior Based / Observation Safety Programs.
·        
Help develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
·        
Assist in administering and maintaining
compliance programs.
·        
Perform other work-related tasks as required as
assigned.



Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:  
·        
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in
Environment Management, Environment Science, Science in Biosystems Engineering
and other related disciplines.
·
