Job Summary: The Transport
and Logistics Manager will plan for economic and cost efficient sourcing /
distribution of bulk and packed products. The incumbent will manage cost
effectively bulk product distribution logistics on both the primary and secondary
segments of the business. 
He / she will establish
and manage a safe Road Transport Operation for the purpose of importation and
distribution of bulk products to the Customer network via Company Depots. The incumbent
will also deputize the Operations Manager when required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·        
Implement product acquisition and stock holding
policies to achieve optimum external and internal stock levels.
·        
Work closely with the East Supply Team and other
sources, find the most cost-effective sources for product supply
·        
Carry out Road Transportation of products in line
with Oil and Gas Road Health Safety Environment recommendations.
·        
As the Road Transport Contract Holder, manage Road
Transport Contracts on behalf of our client to achieve intended value.
·        
Ensure product delivery to Marketing and Commercial
Customers meets Service Level Agreement guarantees.
·        
Manage bulk products Transporter and Supplier
business accounts with our client
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
·        
The applicant should hold a basic degree in
Engineering (Mechanical) is a requirement. Possession of a Post-graduate
training in Business Management / Administration or Operations Research, though
not essential, would provide a good basis to enable an incumbent generate
ideological perspectives of possible improvements or changes to the Logistics
business and would help broaden the analytical skills of the job holder.
·        
Tailored training (in Logistics Management,
Scheduling, Road Transport Operations and Health Safety Security Environment)
is also essential.
·        
Working knowledge of Oil and Gas operations procedures,
financial procedures and company business principles.
·        
Computer literacy, good communication and
negotiating skills, knowledge of Oil and Gas contract management, people
management skills and benchmarking are essential.
·        
Working knowledge of Depot Operations and Customer
Service/Order fulfilment would add value to the job.
