About NUDIPU: The National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) an umbrella organization promoting the rights of persons with disabilities in Uganda. In Uganda, the vision of ‘having a dignified society for all.’ NUDIPU exists for the purpose of building a unified voice for PWDs and particularly the realization of their rights and inclusive development through support and advocacy.

Job Summary: The Programme Assistant will support in the realization and implementation of the livelihoods project in Northern Uganda and in so helping NUDIPU achieve its vision as aligned above.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the project implementation through out the district. 
  • The programme assistant will be charged with advocacy and mobilization of PWDs. 
  • Coordinate and work harmoniously with the local authorities, partners and stakeholders. 
  • Mobilize and monitor Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and their participation as stakeholders in today’s egalitarian environment.
  • Manage and keep books of accounts for the District Unions and funding received. 
  • Submit monthly reports in time to the program officer to track progress on project indicators.
 Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • A bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Social Works and Social Administration, Community Audit Education and any related fields.
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience.
