About EOC:
The Equal Opportunities Commission, established in 2007 is by the Equal Opportunities Act is mandated to provide a framework for redressing imbalances which exist against the marginalized groups while promoting equality and fairness.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Drawing up programs, fixing and monitoring appointments and organising meetings while liaising with the concerned offices.
  • Drafting routine letters.
  • Act as a repertoire during dictation to produce error free work.
  • Attend to callers on phone and in person.
  • Respond to inquiries and correspondences from the office in time.
  • Receive incoming mails and supervise the dispatch of outgoing mail.
  • Ensure that relevant documents for meetings and speeches are produced in time.
  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the office.
  • Manage records in accordance with established security and records management procedures.
  • Requisition and management of office stationery and equipment.
  • Manage and supervise subordinate staff.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
 Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • An Honors Bachelors Degree in Secretarial and Administrative Studies from a recognized University/Institution OR Ordinary Level Certificate with at least two (2) credits including English and three passes and a UNEB certificate or Diploma in Secretarial Studies or equivalent qualifications in: Business Communication Stage III, Typing writing stage III (50 wpm) or Shorthand stage II (80/90wpm) or Office management.
  • A minimum of three (3) years working experience at the level of a Personal Secretary in Government or equivalent experience from a reputable organization.
 Personal Competencies: Office Management, Computer Literacy, Customer Care & Records and Information Management, Communication Skills, Ethics and Integrity Management, Interpersonal Skills.
