Job Summary:  The Driver will oversee the provision of reliable, secure driving services and proper use and maintenance of office vehicles.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Drive IntraHealth vehicles/authorized passengers to specified destinations as approved by the supervisor in line with IntraHealth’s Use & Management Policy.
  • Physical inspection/check of vehicle status/condition e.g. engine oil, water, nuts, battery water, license, Insurance, brakes, tyre pressure etc prior to any journey and carry out regular vehicle repairs e.g. correcting hard start, tightening bolts and nuts , etc in line with policy.
  • Monitor the security of vehicle, authorized passengers and luggage in line with the vehicle policy.
  • In consultation with the Supervisor, address non-scheduled travel needs for staff
  • On a daily basis ensure vehicle log sheets are duly completed and signed off by the travelers and monthly summaries are submitted to the Logistic Officer
  • Provide administration support to the Logistic officer relating to Office vehicles management
  • Ensure strict adherence to the rules and regulations provided for in the Vehicle management policy manual, Report all major and minor damages and accidents on the vehicle at hand to the supervisor using relevant documentation/forms in accordance to IntraHealth Vehicle Use & Management Policy
  • Ensure that motor vehicle files are up to date and comprehensive with all the information required
  • With support from supervisor, ensure that vehicle maintenance spreadsheet is  monitored regularly to provide clear records on vehicle usage whenever needed.
  • Ensure fuel replenishment summary is done in a timely manner and accurate records maintained.
  • Ensures that the monthly reports on vehicle mileage, fuel consumption with allocation per tracking code, repairs and maintenance are in order for submission to Logistics officer for approval.
  • Maintains and records the vehicle movements in the provided/stipulated vehicle log sheet/records on a timely basis prior and after completion of each trip, and ensures necessary reviews and approvals are made on a timely basis.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the IntraHealth Driver placement must hold an A’ level (UACE) or equivalent field.
  • A certificate in motor vehicle mechanics
  • Five years of working experience in similar field preferably with an International NGO
  • Must possess a valid Ugandan Driving License, at least DL, coupled with a clean driving record
  • Training in defensive driving an added advantage.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with prioritization and able to drive long distance and for long hours.
  • Basic computer skills in Ms Word and use of Internet
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English Language

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the Mukwano Fire Engine Driver job must hold a Uganda Certificate of Education
  • Possess a valid driving permit with the relevant class
  • Five years of experience in driving heavy vehicles
  • Ability to work independently in carrying out assignments to completion
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer service orientation skills
  • Considerable ability to adhere to prescribed routines and practices; and compose effective and accurate correspondence
  • Dealing with non-routine matters, such as special projects, with minimum specific instructions

Job Summary:  The Logistics Assistant (Funds Management) will implement well-defined standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Process documentation for execution of logistics operations (e.g. customs clearance, invoice verification), take appropriate actions to resolve operational issues escalating various issues to the supervisor;
  • Vetting Supplier invoices (both physical and electronic) for authenticity and liaising  with field staff for raising receipts in the system where they have not been or capturing loss of food on waybills in the system;
  • Automation/preparation of SESs in support of Supply payment process and consequently handing them oveer for payments (transport and logistics services);
  • Work with Finance to ensure supplier invoices are uploaded into ITS for payment;
  • Process supplier invoices for payment. Run reports in the system, attach thenecessary document extracts to invoices in ITS for payment approval;
  • Work with Finance to see to it that loss indicated on Supplier invoices is deducted from their payments
  • Filing invoices and all other LTSH related documents
  • Support the process of supplier documents return (where there are mistakes) and be a contact point for supplier queries;
  • Performs any other duties as deemed necessary.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate for the United Nations UN World Food Programme (WFP) Logistics Assistant (Funds Management) job placement should hold a University degree with experience in any of the following:  Statistics, Economics, Commerce, Applied Science/ Mathematics, Business Administration, Transport/Freight forwarding/Customs clearing and or Logistics/supply chain management;
  • At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain activities;
  • At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in funds management;
  • Good working knowledge and experience using MS Office applications is a must.
  • Experience using corporate systems to monitor ongoing shipments, pipeline information, insurance claims, and food stock.
  • Experience analysing data (on commodities, funds, etc.) and drafting reports.
  • Experience in measuring service providers’ performance against set KPIs.
  • Experience in assisting the preparation of contract documentation.
  • Experience in providing technical business support in corporate systems.

Competencies:
  • Supply Chain Management and Optimization: Displays aptitude at monitoring and reporting on supply chain operations to enable teams to efficiently assess the performance and sustainability of current networks.
  • Planning, Project & Resource Management: Supports the planning, forecasting & resource management efforts of own team by collecting data from diverse sources.
  • Information Management & Reporting: Collates accurate and timely information and data to enable informed decision making on reporting within individual unit and consequently the greater humanitarian community.
  • Market Analysis, Contracting and Operational Execution: Ability to collect and collate necessary information to enable WFP to make informed operational decisions.
  • Warehouse and Inventory Management: Demonstrates ability to implement operational warehouse procedures and normative guidance in order to manage WFP’s warehouse, handle inventory effectively through corporate systems, and ensure loss mitigation.
  • Technical Assistance and Coordination: Demonstrates awareness of the importance of technical assistance and coordination with key stakeholders and an ability to carry out logistics activities, respecting individual mandates and programme priorities.
