Job Summary:  The Engineer - IT Applications Support will support the assigned IT Applications by proactive identification, isolation, and resolution of issues in the assigned applications/systems stack. The incumbent shall ensure platforms’ uptime and services availability, attend to customer trouble tickets escalated from front end teams within SLA and ensure efficient Operations & Maintenance of the assigned Enterprise IT applications.


 Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·        To provide L1 and L2 operational maintenance and support for the IT Applications

·        To attend to incidents, work orders, problem tickets, changes etc. pertaining the relevant applications/systems assigned

·        Ensure optimization of the assigned IT applications to meet company KPI-s and customer expectations

·        Development of technical documents including Standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides              

·        Derivation of trends in performance from statistics as well as from customer complaints to provide long term solutions to problems identified          

·        Actively collaborate with other Business functions to understand their pain areas and come up with improvement plan                       

·        Serve MTN UG’s customers and provide solutions to customer problems to improve the customer experience

·        Matrix management across Information systems and business units

·        Working with multiple vendors and business units

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Job Summary:  The Lead Tax Specialist will effectively manage the tax affairs of the company, implement mitigating strategies to minimize company tax risk and exposure, ensure optimal tax benefits for MTN Uganda by applying sound tax management planning principles. The Lead Tax Specialist will oversee the preparation of all tax compliance needs, assist in audits and respond to tax correspondences.

Job Summary: 
The Telecoms Operator will provide direct supervision and support are received from the head of the relevant functional unit. The Telecoms Operator will also refer to technical manuals and UNHCR instructions concerning telecom operations.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Distribute incoming cables, messages, and other communication in accordance with established instructions.
  • Ensure that all communications handed to him/her for transmission are properly prepared and authorized and promptly transmitted.
  • Select the most efficient and economic means for the transmission of messages, taking into consideration the nature and priority of communications to be transmitted.
  • Maintain a station log where all occurrences related to the operation of the telecommunication equipment are entered.
  • Ensure that no unauthorized communications are exchanged on the network.
