Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) was established by an Act of Parliament 1991 and amended in 1994, Cap. 325 under the laws of the Republic of Uganda. UCDA is established as a public Authority and its mandate is to promote and oversee the coffee industry by supporting research, promoting production, controlling the quality and improving the marketing of coffee in order to optimize foreign exchange earnings for the country and payments to the farmers.

Job Summary:  The Corporate Communications Officer will implement UCDA communication policies and procedures that represent its corporate identity, and promote and support its mission.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·       Participate in the preparation of UCDA quarterly newsletters and annual reports by collecting articles, stories, photos from Staff and Partners, and continuously innovate to keep the newsletters and reports relevant and informative.
·       Develop and disseminate public relations materials that increase the Authority’s visibility among stakeholders.
·       Coordinate the use of social media by UCDA on a regular basis and for specific events (twitter, facebook, etc) including message development and social media content creation.
·       Ensure that the UCDA website is regularly updated with latest materials, information and events, and check and respond to posts / information and questions received through the website.
·       Arrange and coordinate press conferences, and build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external role-players.
·       Participate in the planning, organization and reporting on key events such as coffee promotion expos, international coffee day, and lead on all aspects of visibility, communication and potential media engagements for such events.
·       Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports in line with the set policies and procedures.
·       Carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·       The applicant for the Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) Corporate Communications Officer job must hold a Bachelor’s degree (hons) in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
·       At least four (4) years working experience in a similar position in a reputable organization.

Job Summary: The Quantitative Research Analyst -Business Intelligence Division will provide a deep understanding of market drivers, opportunities and risks in order to create and maintain a competitive advantage and develop brand equity through quantitative research and market modeling

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·        Conduct both desk and consumer survey data analysis and reporting as business operation dictate from time to time
·        Analyze raw data, write and interpret research reports for internal studies and summarize external ones
·        Set research data analysis guidelines in compliance with tested leading practices.
·        Identify and apply new global tools, methods and approaches in market research
·        Review questionnaires and other research tools and ensure compliance with tested leading practices.
·        Interpret research findings and distil key highlights from survey results. Present research findings to user departments/divisions/units as required.
·        Conduct regular reviews of all data sources and suppliers to ensure quality control.
·        Creates and updates comprehensive industry, competitor and customer models including, but not limited to, market share, growth projections and trends, and market forces.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The Regional Service Centre Steering Committee is the decision-making body for RSCE, in compliance with General Assembly resolutions, United Nations Secretariat rules and regulations, strategic guidance from United Nations Headquarters and oversight bodies. The Steering Committee consults with the Global Field Support Strategy Implementation Coordination Team, as required. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·       The overall purpose of the post is to assist in providing problem assessment, resolution and advice for a wide spectrum of IT issues. The incumbent will be responsible for providing the timely and efficient provision of IT support functions for the Centre
·       Assists in providing support for computer information systems, specifically for the Regional Telephone Billing Unit, e-Billing applications support, implementation of databases and applications in assigned areas and troubleshooting for various applications
·       Assists in providing timely and efficient e-Billing support to all mission components and sites,
·       Receives and logs problem calls or service requests in the automated tracking system.
·       Attempts to resolve problem calls or service requests on initial contact
·       Diagnoses and resolves relatively simple hardware, software, or connectivity problems.
·       Assists Network Unit to provide network connectivity in the mission area and all team sites

·       Experience working within an international organization or non-governmental organization  in a conflict or post-conflict setting is desirable.
·       Experience in a shared service center is desirable
·       Working experience in a multicultural and/or international work environment is desirable.
·       English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required.
