Oil Company Jobs - Human Resource & Corporate Affairs Manager - TOTAL

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Human resource:
·        Direct implementation of the company HR policies
·        Manage, plan and coordinate all matters HR, and administrative strategies of the company
·        Coordinate implementation of Management decisions relating to organizing, appraising, developing, controlling all HR and administrative matters of the Company
·        Manage and coordinate the effective deployment of all Group HR programmes particularly the “better together” project
·        Manage Manpower development and career management
·        Structured training plan development and management
·        Accountable for the payroll monthly and related provisions, deductions and reconciliations.
·        Manage employees wellbeing and welfare programmes to sustain morale, engagement and productivity and minimize attrition
·        Ensure structured recruitment and staff integration process
Corporate Affairs:
·        Develop, defend and manage departmental budget; manage and communicate performance for continuous improvement
·        Implement the Stakeholder Relationship Management action plan of the Company in line with Group policy
·        Act as Company Compliance Officer
·        Accountable for affiliate’s Public Affairs management
·        Accountable for affiliate’s Internal communication
·        Accountable for affiliate’s External communication
·        Ensure CSR projects development, execution and communication
·        Ensure structured management of all stakeholders related to company business – authorities, NGOs, etc.
·        Develop and manage affiliate’s societal strategy and plan
·        Ensure company facilities administration
·        Responsible for corporate events coordination and management
·        Ensure structured management of all company correspondence with all parties/stakeholders
·        Ensure proper Crisis management and communication when required
·        Accountable for Insurance and risk management
·        Ensure adequate Medical and health management programmes for all category of employees
·        Accountable for Affiliate’s Legal Affairs
·        Coordinate and supervise the internal Audit function.
·        Responsible for Corporate image management for the affiliate


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·        The applicants for the TOTAL Human Resource & Corporate Affairs Manager job opportunity should hold a degree in Law, social sciences, arts and related discipline
·        At least 15 years’ experience with at least 5 years at management level
·        Excellent management, interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of employees

·        Optimization of equipment maintenance cost to be within 2.5USD/m3 of fuel sales.
·        Ensure projects are done within +/- 10% of the initial contract sum and within the contract period.
·        Ensure Work Permits are issued for all works.
·        Carry out Risk Assessment and Prevention Plans for all works.
·        Reduce equipment down time.
·        Ensure project designs cover all safety critical equipment.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·        The applicants for the TOTAL Projects Engineer job opportunity should hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
·        Two to five years of experience in Engineering Projects and Maintenance supervision in a busy environment.
·        Work experience in a Petroleum company is an added advantage.
·        Computer knowledge and use of AutoCAD and Microsoft packages.
·        Hold a valid Driving Licence.

·        Responsible for managing, developing the launch of and establishment of SUNSHINE range on the Ugandan market including Solar Security lights brand;
·        Create and engage partnership with stakeholders who share similar vision of promoting renewable energies like Solar both at domestic and commercial level;
·        Design and execute communication and promotions of the Sunshine products in liaison with the marketing team;
·        Update the costing of Solar range of products and monitor the market pricing;
·        Develop the overall affiliate Solar Strategy and Business and Marketing plans of Solar annually;

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·        Maintenance of proper books of account for the company by ensuring monthly and annual trail balance and accounts finalized, complete, accurate, and timely and all amounts fully analyzed.
·        Responsible for Accounts payable, bank reconciliations, Taxation, and maintenance of vendor accounts.  Tasks include payment authorization, review of postings into the accounting system, accounts analysis, reconciliations with third parties and TOMCard postings and reconciliations.
·        SAP accounting system- responsible for companies Chart of Accounts and maintenance of the General Ledger
·        Taxation - ensuring accuracy in computations, timely payments, follow-up of tax matters and claims, advise and implementation of changes in tax legislation, management of tax audits by government and tax advisors
·        External/Internal audits/consultancies - coordination to ensure properly planned and executed, financial statements finalized, recommendations agreed and implemented.
·        Internal controls/accounting processes - Ensuring proper accounting processes & adequacy of internal controls, including preparation of schedules and reconciliations.
·        Staff supervision - interview, placement, training, appraisal, motivation,
·        Compliance - ensuring compliance with IFRS, and accounting requirements of other legislation, e.g.  CO Act
·        Responsible for the Quarterly consolidation packages.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·        The applicants for the TOTAL Chief Accountant job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s
·        Degree in Commerce majoring in Accounting or any business related degree.
·        MBA, CPA, ACCA and/or Tax Administration qualification will be an added advantage
·        At least four years of working experience.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
Implement the MS Branch Internal Control Framework across the entity:
·        Coordinate and challenge the answers to the ELC Questionnaire
·        Enforce the effectiveness to Priority Controls (Geo Zone or MS Division) and ensure they are tested on a regular basis
·        If need be, write procedures supporting the enforcement of Internal Control throughout the entity, in consistence with the procedures of the Geo Zone and/or MS Division.
Lead communication and training in Internal Control
·        Participate in communicating and triggering the appropriation of internal control stakes and principles by the staff
·        Attend the meetings with External Auditors re. internal controls matters
Enforce the rules of Segregation of Duties
·        Assist with Segregation of Duties mitigating and with authorizations
·        Ensure that mitigating actions are followed-up over time: roles are re-assigned, mitigation controls are conducted and tested on a regular basis, together with the relevant hierarchies throughout the entity
Coordinate the global Risk management scheme in the entity:
·        If need be, coordinate the Risk mapping of the entity, ensure that the achievement of the relevant action plans is followed-
·        Use audit reports as workable information to be circulated to the Management Committee
·        Whatever the purpose of audits, ensure that the recommendations are followed-up and report on this to the Management Committee on a regular basis
·        After analyzing incidents or malfunctions, warn the Management of the entity on the main possible risks and suggest mitigation measures (including related to the organization) together with the involved hierarchies.
·        Make suggestions regarding controls ensuring that the risks are under control
·        Coordinate the Business continuity Plan (BCP) and ensure that all related procedures are consistently updated to reflect the current circumstances of the entity and are communicated.
Compliance:
·        Participate in the implementation and deployment of the Group Compliance Program and more specifically on matters relating to fraud.
Cross reference the various Internal Control processes (audit, risk mapping, questionnaire, Representation Letter, controls testing status…)
·        Identify main internal control weaknesses and follow-up the relevant mitigation action plans.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·        The applicants for the TOTAL Senior Internal Auditor job opportunity should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and another business-related field
·        At least five years of experience regarding Audit matters and relations to Auditors and External Auditors would be appropriate
·        Well organised, method-oriented, practical and operational approach of the issues
·        Skills in networking
·        Autonomy
·        Strong interpersonal skills, regarding communication, management and diplomacy
