Job Summary:  The IT Helpdesk Officer will provide first line technical service Desk support within the bank's ICT service.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·        Act as a single point of contact for staff regarding technology issues and queries and provide first and second line support.

·        Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical hardware and/or software issues.

·        Provide quick resolution and excellent customer service.

·        Redirect unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.

·        Provide needed information on IT products or services. Log, maintain and take ownership of issues in the Help Desk system and provide appropriate reporting information.

·        Provide feedback on processes and make recommendations on areas to improve.

·        Maintain technical documentation and service catalog on installation of software, configuration of hardware and problem troubleshooting.

·        Maintain an asset (hardware & software) database and track changes.

·        Ensure that all necessary reports and information are prepared on time and to the highest standard of accuracy.

·        Carry out End of Day functions on the banking applications.

·        Maintain security of the bank's IT assets and the safety, confidentially and integrity of data held within bank's computer systems

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·        The ideal candidate must hold a BSc. in Computer Science / Information Technology or Degree in any field plus postgraduate qualification in IT/Computer Science

·        One year of demonstrated experience in an IT related role.

·        Analytical Skills/ Problem solving Knowledge of the operating systems used in the bank

·        Knowledge of the network design Knowledge of the minimum space required for the system to Understanding of Backup recovery procedures

·        Knowledge of procedure run up and data for installation and configuration of data bases Understanding of System development cycles

·        Demonstrated good customer service orientation

·        Good communication skills

·        Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve/ escalate issues as required

The National Information Technology Authority, Uganda was established with a mandate to coordinate, promote and monitor the development of IT in the context of social and economic development of Uganda.

 

Job Summary:  The Manager, Data Protection Affairs will be responsible for the effective management of the operations and ICT matters for the National Personal Data Protection Office.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        Ensure the timely provision of response to requests for ICT related advisories and guidance relating to implementation of the Data Protection and Privacy Act

·        Ensure the timely development of expert material, technical tools, guidelines and industry best practices for Data Protection and Privacy implementation

·        Lead the development and implementation of the Office’s Information Security Management System (ISMS)

·        Lead the Governance and Risk program for the Office

·        Conduct information systems audits on identified systems and make appropriate recommendations in line with the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019

·        Develop and update the processes for data protection impact assessments

·        Develop and implement capacity building programs for systems developers to ensure the adoption of privacy by design measures

·        Monitor and review emerging industry trends and suggest changes to policies and procedures to improve regulation and compliance of protection of personal data

·        Supervise the security of the IT services in the Office to ensure optimal performance

·        Selecting and implementing suitable technology to streamline all internal operations and help optimize their strategic benefits

·        Assist the Director with the preparation of the Strategic Plan for the Office

·        Plan and implement quality and service standards

·        Analyse process workflows to ensure efficiency in the Office operations

·        Maintain and manage cordial relations with Data Protection Officers

 

Results expected:

  • Support efficient and effective processes of the Office and support the provision of relevant Regulatory guidance, information and advice to organisations and individuals in line with the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·        The ideal applicant for the  National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (NITA-U) Manager, Data Protection Affairs must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Information Security or a related field from a recognized university

·        Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field from a recognized university

·        Information security certification related to risk management is required such as CISM, CRISC, CISSP

·        Relevant professional certification in data protection and privacy or related area is an added advantage

·        At least five years’ active experience in information security related management with functional responsibility at a supervisory role

·        Excellent oral and written communication skills

·        Experience of developing information technology and information security organizational policies and procedures

·        Deep understanding of information security related laws and regulations

·        Good working knowledge and understanding of key concepts in Data Protection and Information Security

Job Summary:  The Analyst, Fraud is a part of the Revenue Assurance (RA) department of MTN and would support Fraud Management reviews and investigations as well as implement Fraud Management related controls in order to proactively identify and minimize revenue exposure. The job also covers performing incident based forensic investigations and preparation of performance dashboards to be used for reporting.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Performing incident- based fraud investigations.
  • Coordinate the implementation of corrective actions, preventive controls and recommendations.
  • Design, test and implement fraud management controls.
  • Validating evidence, documenting evidence, performing analysis as-asked, providing information as-requested for investigation escalation and reporting.
  • Resolve escalations as per defined escalation / resolution procedures.
  • Support fraud risk assessment to establish Fraud Assessment plan for the period (activity calendar, frequency, criticality of reconciliations etc.)

  • Assist in periodic gross revenue risk assessment to establish Fraud Assessment plan for the period (activity calendar, frequency, criticality of reconciliations etc.)
  • Apply MTN Methodology for quantification of fraud scenarios and provide initial report to Fraud Manager for review and validation.
  • Coordinate with BRM on any specific incident based forensic requirements.
  • Comply with communication and confidentiality protocols for fraud related information.

Design, test and implement controls

Coordinate the implementation of corrective actions and preventive controls recommendations

  • Provide consultation to respective process owners for managing corrective actions.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the MTN-Uganda Specialist Fraud Management job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Telecom Engineering, Statistics, Finance and / or relevant field.
  • CFE, CISA, Forensic investigation GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) are an added advantage.
  • Two to four years of work experience in Fraud Investigation, Risk Management and Audit.
  • Experience in continuous improvement through the implementation of best practices (Fraud Investigation).

Job Summary:  The Network Operations Centre (NOC) and Service Desk Engineer will monitor the critical Data Centre infrastructure and the entire Data Centre network from a central location. In this role, the successful candidate will be expected. The incumbent will analyze problems, perform troubleshooting and incident response on the system, communicate with site technicians and track problems through to resolution.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        Manage and maintain all Raxio data centre monitoring systems, including, but not limited to the Data Centre’s specialized Building Management System (BMS)

·        Handle and escalate faults as per Raxio’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalation matrix

·        Monitor automated systems, generate and respond to incidents from the moment they’re captured through to their resolution.

·        Operate as the first point of contact for any system-generated issues, as well as those logged internally and those externally (Resellers/Agents) External customer services in the communication list.

·        Collaborate with other functions, such as the Data Centre site engineers, data hall engineers and account manager to ensure timely resolution of escalated faults.

·        Make sure   Raxio data Centre’s equipment maintenance schedule is adhered to.

·        Maintenance of technical documentation of SOPs

·        Participate in a 24×7 call-out rotating schedule

·        Keep abreast with all services being offered by Raxio by attending all trainings organized by the company
