Windle International Uganda is the lead partner of UNHCR in implementing Education Projects in Uganda with close collaboration with the Government of Uganda through the Office of the Prime Minister.

Job Summary:  The Human Resource Administrator will develop, monitor, maintain and implement human resource management policies, systems, structures and processes in line with WIU frameworks, organisation’s objectives and mission. The Human Resources Administrator will be responsible for the general administration, procurement and logistics, HR related issues, leave management, policy implementation, performance monitoring and evaluation and motivation of staff at the settlement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Providing general administrative and Human Resources support to the Settlement
  • Leave Management: Keep track of annual, compassionate, maternity, paternity and sick leaves for staff
  • Managing the Staff welfare function for the Field teams; including receipt and distribution of dry rations, meals management, insurance cover for staff, accommodation management, etc. 
  • Taking up Teachers’ as well as that of Field Staff disciplinary issues with the direction of the Settlement Manager and the Human Resource Manager in line with the relevant Organizational Policies and Procedures
  • Managing and coordinating the Performance Management Function as  well as performance related activities at Settlement level in line with the relevant procedures and tools in place
Recruitment and Selection:
  • Advertising vacant roles to the Public as authorized
  • Screening and shortlisting resumes and applications received from applicants
  • Scheduling and conducting interviews with Managers
  • Conducting candidate reference checks
  • Prepare starter packs (Employee Manual, benefits package, insurance, business cards, name tag ) for new employees
  • Work closely with head office for new staff, transfers, departures, maternity leaves, etc.
  • Conduct orientation for new hires
Safety, Assets Management and Administration:
  • Maintain the security, safety & welfare of the staff, assets and equipment at settlement level
  • Special events and projects
  • Support the Procurement Process at Field Level
  • Prepare periodic Fuel Accountability reports and monitor fuel usage through supervision of the Field Drivers
  • Assist Settlement Managers with other duties as required


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • At least two to three years of previous HR exposure with reputable organizations, most preferably NGO or INGO

Job Summary:   The Manager, Human Resource Management (MHRM) will provide effective leadership and management to the Human Resource and Administration Function to support the goal and strategic needs of the Agency. About USAID RHITES-N Project:
RHITES-N, Lango will contribute to improving key population- based national health indicators; build the capacity of the Ugandan government to carry out a sustainable and locally- driven response to the HIV epidemic, while also improving TB, malaria, nutrition, MNCH+A, and WASH outcomes. JSI will work with Ugandan stakeholders to design and implement health system strengthening strategies to scale up high-impact, evidence-based interventions at the national, sub-regional, district, and community levels. Interventions will include VMMC, virtual elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV, antiretroviral therapy, and condom education and distribution. JSI will focus where the greatest impact can be realized, with a priority on hard-to-reach and high-HIV-prevalence locations. RHITES-N, Lango is a five-year contract. Job Summary:   The Human Resource Officer actively contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives in managing the full employee life cycle from recruitment, induction to exit and also in providing administrative support in the day to day running of human resources activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Collect and organize input on HR processes and policies and participate in the review and update of various systems, manuals, guidelines, and tools.
  • Give HR support to the Staff based in the District offices as and when required

Job Summary:  The principal functions of the Deputy Human Resource Manager: Talent Planning & Acquisition will be:
1) To provide  leadership and technical support for strategic human resources planning
2) Leading effective talent acquisition, and
3) Contributing to the successful delivery of all HR departmental initiatives and key functions as needed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Company  Manpower Planning: Responsible for developing, defining and implementing short and long term company annual manpower plans; 
  • Undertake and analyse manpower productivity and workforce measurement within the entire  organisation.
