AAHEFA is an umbrella body of Higher Education Financing institutions that deal with Issuance of loans, bursaries/ grants and scholarships to Higher Education students as well as recovery collection of the loaned out funds in their respective countries to establish National sustainable revolving funds. AAHEFA was established to enable a collaborative relationship among Africa's higher education financing agencies by providing a focal forum for sharing of information and experiences on common financing challenges and ultimately increase student access to higher education. Current AAHEFA membership is comprised of Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Ghana, Zambia, Uganda, South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi and Namibia with more countries set to join the association as countries continue to establish Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies to manage financing of student loans, a key thrust for AAHEFA..

Job Summary: The CEO will be responsible for the overall management of AAHEFA Secretariat, as provided for under the constitution, The CEO will also be Secretary to the Executive Governing Council and the Governing Council of the Association. Specifically the CEO will be responsible for;
·         Membership Growth and Maintenance
·         Strategy and Policy Development 3.Stakeholder Management
·         Financial Management and Reporting
·         Corporate Governance and Risk Management
·         Corporate Governance and Risk Management
·         Administrative Duties

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·         To provide strategic direction and ensure A AAHEFA ‘S mandate is realized.
·          The responsibilities include but not limited to the oversight development and implementation of AAHEFA strategic plan; work programmes and operational budget of the Association; Coordinate the Association's operations; relationship management with all stakeholders, Development Partners and strategic partnerships‘ The Chief Executive officer  is further responsible for effective resource mobilisation through specific country technical advisory on matters higher education financing.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·         The ideal applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in Finance, Business related, Law or Economics;
·         Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, Banking and finance, Economics, Business related, Commerce or Law;

Job Summary: The Senior Compliance Officer will Plan and supervise the management of Compliance and Regulatory engagements and monitor adherence to the set operational standards and practices in line with the relevant legislation and policy frameworks.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·         Supervise audit assignments as per Compliance programmes.

·         Advise and Recommend from works for institutionalizing of good practices for staff compliance and adherence to the set standards and practices

·         Working with the Legal, Internal Audit, Human Resources and other Departments as appropriate, implement education and training programs for  stakeholders and employees whose functions involve compliance with laws or ethical standards of conduct, including introductory training for new employees and ongoing training for all management and appropriate employees.
·         Plan, Coordinate and  conduct Investigation of reported and suspected cases of non- compliance and  fraud in line with guidelines
·         Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of operations and promoting continuous improvement, Assess compliance with the set policies, procedures, standards, technical specifications as well as best practices
·         Review and analyze compliance and regulatory procedures and associated risks and suggest mitigation measures for risks identified;
