Job Summary: The Ticketing Officer will be responsible for planning, selling, arranging travel Itineraries and bookings for our clients. The Ticketing Officer will be tasked with promoting and booking traveling arrangements for clients, formulating tour or holiday packages with the goal of enhancing client satisfaction and growth to our client base.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·         Carry out research of various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, customs, weather conditions, reviews etc.
·         Making and confirming bookings using Amadeus Software.
·         The incumbent will diagnose the clients’ specifications, needs and wishes and sale suitable travel packages or services
·         Be a liaison point between airlines, hotels, care hire services etc. on behalf of clients
·         Record all inquiries and bookings.
·         Support clients in finding travel package deals for their needs, included but not limited to accommodation, transfers and air travel
·         Ensuring that a minimum of 50% of all enquires are converted into bookings by quick, detailed and accurate response enquiries

Job Summary:  The Fuel Distribution System Operator is responsible for performing fuel service operations and to manage the reception, storage, and shipping of bulk or packaged petroleum based products. The FS provides oversight and advisor service for all POL operations, maintenance and quality assurance. FS operates program-owned fueling/defueling equipment and assists in maintaining same.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Complies with all applicable manuals, rules and regulations as it pertains to safely handling and storing all POL products on site.
  • Assists in maximizing program assets
  • Receive and stock bulk and package products
  • Issue and dispense bulk fuels and water from storage and distribution facilities to using units
  • Select and submit samples to laboratory for testing as required
  • Perform petroleum and water accounting duties
  • Operate equipment used with petroleum and water distribution system and multi-product pipeline system as required
  • Evaluate test results with specification requirements and makes recommendations regarding product disposition
  • Receive samples and conduct tests on petroleum products
  • Report findings in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials testing methods
  • Apply fire prevention and safety control procedures in handling volatile products
  • Position requires a U.S. Department of State Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a High School diploma or GED.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in aircraft refueling and defueling operations.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in operating fuel distribution points or terminals
  • Ability to wear PPE and perform all duties while wearing PPE.
  • Ability to correctly sample and test petroleum products.
  • Ability to react to spills correctly and operate a recovery plan successfully.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English and Spanish.

The Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) is an international non-profit organization which is a partnership of infectious diseases and public health specialists. The overall objective of the IDI is to strengthen health systems with strong emphasis on Infectious Diseases, through Research and Capacity Development. IDI has five operational areas through which it works to achieve its mission: Prevention, Care and Treatment; Training, Research and Laboratory services (provided through a partnership with the Makerere University - John Hopkins University Core Lab) and Outreach.

Job Summary:  The Project Coordinator/Engineer will support the development planning, implementation and evaluations of innovations that support supply of medications and diagnostics to hard-to-reach areas. They will be required to liaise between different multi-disciplinary team members implementing the protect including medical, pharmacy, logistics, pilots, software developers and field medical staff. They will also need to liaise with policymakers and other implementing partners at a national and local level. They will be the lead communication between the core and field teams. They will ensure that the team adheres to strict timelines in this deadline-sensitive project. This project will require frequent travel to hard to reach areas including Kalangala District, Western Nile region and others.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • To develop ideas for logistics supplies for HIV services to hard-to reach areas in Uganda
  • To explore and research different mechanisms for providing supply chain services in hard to reach areas populations in Uganda and lastmile health including but not limited to are transport land transport, boats
  • To develop and implementation plan for the project
  • To lead ongoing necessary regulatory approvals for the project
  • Provide leadership and coordination project in the context of the facility community framework, working with in charges, implementing partners and government agendas.
  • Assist in conducting capacity building and technical assistance initiatives for quality improvement and assurance. He/she will also coordinate trainings and on site mentorships on quality improvement and assurance.
  • Generate and submittal required reports in regard to quality improvement and assurance
  • To work with the research team to develop a research protocol for the implementation .
  • Ensure minutes of meetings are written and circulated.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of project equipment while ensuring that‘ these are serviced and kept in good working conditions.
  • Any other duties as assigned from time to time


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant for the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI) Project Coordinator/Engineer job must hold a Bachelor’s degree in aviation or mechanical engineering field
  • Previous experience/qualifications in project management is essential
  • Experience in research/medical field would be an advantage
  • Experience in logistics /supply chain transportation/aviation would be an advantage

Aircraft Mechanic US Non-profit Jobs - Samaritan’s Purse

Job Summary:  The Aircraft Mechanic will be supporting a Douglas DC-3TP and Cessna Grand Caravan out of Entebbe, Uganda. S/he may require extended work hours from launching an aircraft, assisting with cargo loading, to fulfilling their primary task of maintaining the aircrafts while pursuing technical excellence to the Glory of God.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft to ensure they are maintained in an airworthy condition, ready for dispatch. This may require extended work hours, weekends, or working nights to return the aircraft to service.
  • Perform engineering duties in a timely, efficient, accurate and professional manner.
  • Ensure aircrafts are kept clean and neat.
  • Ensure relevant aircraft records are current, accurate and complete.
  • Maintain ground support equipment and facilities used in aircraft maintenance activities.
  • Assist in other activities and projects as assigned by supervisor.
  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public.
  • Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, its donors and volunteers.
  • Maintenance personnel are often required to be overnight at out locations in support of our operations–up to 30% of the time depending on our activity. Personnel should anticipate many of the locations being austere with few amenities. Showers, a hot meal, and even a bed may not be available. Sleeping in the aircraft may at times be required.
  • Be willing and comfortable working in remote environments, with little support structure, often in war zones and insecure areas.
  • When humanitarian crisis arise, it may be necessary to temporarily deploy away from the home base for several weeks, and even as much as 30 days at a time.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The Aircraft Mechanic should be a Ugandan with about 10 years of licensed experience actively maintaining turbine DC-3, King Air 200 or Cessna Grand Caravans (or other similar PT6 powered aircrafts).
  • They should have a proven history in a broad range of aircraft maintenance activities, can function very well both independently and in a close knit team, and has some experience working in other countries & cultures. FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) certificate, Aviation maintenance management experience and one year of college-level Biblical Studies preferred.
  • S/he should be fluent in English and the local language (both verbal and written).
  • The candidate should be personable and result oriented
