Job Summary:  The Finance and Administration Assistant will provide Financial and Administrative services to the AWF Uganda office. Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·        Support the Finance and Administration Officer in daily, real-time entry of program financial data. Managing program accounting data in financial system (serenic)
·        Maintain office petty cash and expense trail for timely monthly report generation to ensure monthly close deadlines are adhered to
·        Organize program logistics such as travel arrangements, workshops and seminars.
·        Develop relationships with local hotels and other facilities to ensure the best possible price and venues for AWF activities

·        Review staff travel advance reports before input in AWF Accounting system

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  Within limits of delegated authority, the Team Assistant of the Mobile Capacity Building Team will be responsible for the following duties:
·        Performs a wide range of office support and administrative functions.
·        Responds or drafts responses to routine correspondence and other communications; uses standard word processing package to produce a wide variety of large, complex documents and reports.
·        Monitors processes and schedules related the unit’s outputs, products, tasks, etc.; where applicable, assists in the verification of receipt and accuracy of requisite documents, approvals, signatures, etc. to ensure compliance with relevant legal, financial and other requirements.
·        Researches, compiles and organizes information and reference materials from various sources for reports, work plans, studies, briefings, training materials, meetings/conferences, etc.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·        A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in general office support or related area is required.
·        Experience working in ERP (SAP) is desirable.

Abt Associates, a major American business and government research, technical assistance, and consulting company, manages the US Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded PMI VectorLink Project. VectorLink will support the U.S. President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) and USAID to plan and implement an integrated vector control approach with the overall goal of reducing the burden of malaria. Abt has implemented indoor residual spraying (IRS) for PMI since 2011, delivering high-quality IRS programs and gathering the most comprehensive vector control entomological data in the world. Under this contract, Abt will expand entomological monitoring to guide programs focused on insecticide-treated mosquito nets and IRS and continue to assist PMI in reducing the burden of malaria through IRS and capacity building in 24 African countries where malaria is endemic. Abt also will continue to support PMI in IRS monitoring and evaluation, as well as environmental compliance.

Job Summary:  Abt Associates seeks a qualified Project Assistant/Store Manager to support the VectorLink project in Uganda. A Project Assistant (PA) supports one or more Technical Specialists and/or the Project Director in carrying out technical project work. Typical duties at this lower PA level include documenting project activities, setting up and maintaining project files, drafting reports, preparing statistics, translating simple documents, preparing training materials, and making conference logistical arrangements.  Provides information gathering, research, and related services of limited scope and difficulty. Provides information gathering, research, and related services of intermediate scope and difficulty. A PA at this level requires supervision.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·        Assures that commodities used in IRS campaigns are secure, accounted for, and safely stored at the project’s district-level stores.
·        Receives, delivers, and registers IRS commodities, and ensures that storage facilities at the parish-level are ready for IRS operations.
·        Take stock of store inventory, do gap analysis for procurements
·        Supervise the parish store keepers and ensure accurate record keeping
·        Ensure all documentation for IRS supplies and logistics is correct and updated
·        Mentor the District Supply Officers in logistics management
·        Participate in training of parish storekeepers in logistics management
·        Advise Logistics Coordinator and Senior Management of the Project on logistics and procurement needs
·        Participate in identification of stores and need for repair
·        Ensure that all pumps are maintained and serviced prior to the next spray round
·        Ensure all IRS waste is sorted, packed and transported to the waste store
·        Other duties as assigned by Abt Associates Inc.
