About Organisation:

The Law Development Centre (LDC) is the premier government-owned institution of higher learning responsible for providing practical legal education in Uganda. Established in 1970 under the Law Development Centre Act, it holds the exclusive mandate to offer the postgraduate Bar Course required for practicing law in the country.

Job Summary: To receive, issue and record Stores in the Law Development Centre.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To receive, keep, retrieve and issue stores in accordance with the established procedures.
  • To receive and compile requisition orders.
  • To verify invoices against Good Received notes.
  • To post and maintain Stores records.
  • To undertake stock taking and stock inspection.
  • To perform any other duties assigned by the Inventory Management Officer.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:




  • Diploma in Stores / Supplies Management or Procurement or equivalent qualification.
  • Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education with at least two (2) principal passes.
  • At least one (1) year work experience in a similar position preferably in an academic institution of higher learning.
  • ICT and digital literacy.
  • Planning, organising and coordinating skills.
  • Records and information management skills.
  • Must be accountable.
  • Must be able to produce quality results.
  • Must be a person of high ethics and integrity.
  • Customer care skills.
