Job Summary: As a Marketing Manager at Edutech Media Group, you will play a pivotal role in planning, directing, and coordinating our marketing policies and programs. You will work collaboratively within a team of five, reporting directly to the Director, to develop strategies that maximize our market share and ensure customer satisfaction. The work environment is innovative and flexible, fostering creativity and teamwork.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategies based on market characteristics and cost factors.
- Formulate and coordinate marketing activities or policies to promote our products and services.
- Evaluate financial aspects of product development, including budgets and profit-loss projections.
- Collaborate with product development teams on specifications such as design and packaging.
- Utilize sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure product profitability while monitoring market trends.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing management.
- Required Skills: Excellent communication, persuasion, negotiation, time management, and operations analysis skills.
- Required Knowledge Areas: Sales and Marketing, Administration and Management, Customer Service, Communications and Media.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Luganda.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred Duties: Experience with sales forecasting, contract negotiations, and promotional activities.
- Preferred Skills: Active learning, systems evaluation, and personnel resource management.
- Preferred Knowledge Areas: Understanding of computers, electronics, and design.
