Job Summary: The primary objective of this consultancy is to lead the research, design, and facilitation of a strategic planning process that will produce a robust, innovative, forward looking, and results-oriented Strategic Plan for Multilines International Ltd.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will:
- Conduct a thorough diagnostic of Multilines’ current strategic positioning, business model, internal capacity, and external operating environment.
- Benchmark the company’s operations and strategy against regional and global logistics industry best practices.
- Perform a comprehensive risk analysis including market dynamics, regulatory shifts, regional trade dynamics, and operational risks.
- Facilitate strategic workshops and consultations with board members, executive management, and key staff across business units.
- Undertake stakeholder mapping and engagement with internal and external actors, including clients, regulators, strategic partners, and regional trade bodies.
- Identify emerging market trends, growth opportunities, and innovation pathways including, green logistics, vertical and horizontal integration etc.
- Research, validate, and specifically propose key strategic avenues for Multilines consideration, including market diversification, operational excellence, talent development, compliance, customer-centricity, and technology adoption.
- Draft a detailed Strategic Plan (2025–2028) outlining objectives, performance targets, resource needs, and implementation timelines.
- Develop a monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) framework.
- Design a Strategic Scorecard or Dashboard aligning KPIs with strategic goals across departments.
- Draft a Change Management and Communication Plan to support the roll-out and organizational buy-in of the strategy.
- Present the final strategy to the Board for approval.. Deliverables
- Inception Report detailing approach, methodology, and timeline.
- Strategic Report capturing ; Diagnostic and Situational Analysis, Stakeholder Workshop Reports and Insights.
- Draft 3-Year Strategic Plan (2025–2028).
- Final Strategic Plan with Strategic Scorecard/Dashboard.
- Change Management and Communication Plan.
- Board Presentation Materials.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- A strategy consultant or firm with proven experience in the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain sector.
- At least 10 years of experience in corporate strategy development, preferably in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Demonstrated expertise in operational efficiency, market expansion, risk management, and digital transformation in logistics.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Advanced degree in International Business, Trade, Strategy, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related disciplines.
