Job Summary: Exquisite Solution ltd is seeking for a maintenance technician to join our clients dynamic team . The individual will be responsible for overseeing the installation and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment, provide stewardship in mechanical operations, provide an overall contribution to the implementation of Company production plans by ensuring timely reporting and rectification of machinery breakdown as well as establishing reliable cost saving preventive mechanisms.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop maintenance checklists for production machines to devise preventive maintenance activity plans and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot problems with pneumatic and mechanical control systems.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance breakdown and service history to accurately diagnose and address future issues.
- Service and maintain simple and complex heavy duty equipment like hoists and other factory equipment.
- Implement cost-effective changes in equipment design to improve reliability and safety.
- Prepare cost and material estimates for each preventive maintenance project.
- Test and analyze machines to detect malfunction, and tools or components to determine their performance, strength and response to stress.
- Monitor mechanical processes to ensure conformance to health and safety standards.
- Read and interpret engineering designs, plans and diagrams for piping, transmission, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
- Assemble components or machine parts to form an integral or complete product unit.
- Service and repair fumes and dust extraction equipment, wall mounts, fans and other factory machinery to ensure continuous efficacy.
- Implement quality control systems useful in evaluating and testing mechanical processes/products for consistency.
- Perform any other duties assigned as the need may arise.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Should have a trainable attitude.
- Good understanding and ability to interpret machine diagrams.
- Great understanding of electrical hazards.
- Ability to administer first aid for injury resulting from mechanical injury.
- Should have sound attention to detail.
- Should have good problem solving skills.
