About Organisation:
Tesla Technical services limited was incorporated on 6th day of November the year 2013 with three core business areas which include; power lines and substation works, Building construction and service provision in the telecommunication sector.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessment for all the project and ensuring that the recommended mitigation measures are being implemented.
- To provide on job training and coaching to local content personnel, liaising either directly or indirectly with training providers to ensure training is provided and performance monitoring of such.
- Implement, use, and communicate safe work practices on and off the project sites in accordance with the Company QEHS Policy, Safe Work Procedures/HSEQ Manuals.
- Engaging and communicating the HSE roles & responsibilities to the project leadership and staff teams.
- Liaise with Project team and ensure cross-functional coordination and engagement where required regarding HSE matters and culture.
- Ensure that the HSE organization and management systems processes are operating and compliant with project/contractual requirement, company requirement, statutory and regulatory requirements and any other relevant stakeholder.
- Review and updating of company project Risk Assessment and HSE procedures, processes, documentation such as Safe Work Method Statement, ESMP, Permit to Work System, SOPs, SEA etc
- Perform specific focused HSE compliance Inspection checks, audits/surveillance reviews as scheduled or as deemed necessary.
- Monitor, manage and direct surveillance and regular inspection of activities of all the project activities and suggest corrective/mitigation measures and follow up on the implementation of the recommended measures.
- Monitor, manage and report on the HSE activities of all the projects being implemented.
- Expedite the field reporting on the status of Construction progress against agreed HSE KPI’s.
- Maintain databases and record storage for HSE systems reports and compliance audits.
- Proficient as lead representative for presenting HSE systems to internal and external auditors.
- Delivering site HSE moments/Safety greenlight such as conducting Tool-Box Talks, Job Safety Analysis before commencement of daily planned activities.
- Spearhead Incident Reporting and Investigation processes or Incident Reviews as required and ensure communication of the findings to the relevant stakeholders.
- Attend regular scheduled project meetings as required and verify HSE metrics and KPI’s tabled in addition to the internal HSE monthly review meeting.
- Perform inspections of equipment/materials/installations to ensure HSE compliance.
- Mentor exemplary behaviour regarding HSE culture, Ethics and Company “Code of Conduct” policy.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in fields such as Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or related disciplines.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certification are often preferer.
- Ability to work in harsh and diverse environment
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in data analysis software
- Knowledge of environmental regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams
- Passion for sustainability and conservation efforts
