About Organisation:
Makerere University Walter Reed Project (MUWRP) under the PEPFAR program has provided a grant to Lugazi Diocese/MUWRP Program, to improve HIV and TB Prevention, care and treatment services through Health System Strengthening in the districts of Kayunga, Mukono, Buvuma, Nakasongola and Luwero. Lugazi Diocese-MUWRP program invites qualified persons to support implementation of the DREAMS program among vulnerable and at-risk Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW), and to reach Adolescent Boys and Young Men (ABYM), with HIV and violence prevention interventions especially in locations of high gender-based violence and violence against children in Kayunga District.
Job Summary: The DREAMS Data Officer will support the program M&E Officer in design, implementation and review of the project’s monitoring and evaluation interventions, collection of primary Data from the field and in putting into the reporting systems, addressing the M&E capacity gaps identified, track performance and inform programming.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure complete timely data entry into the DREAMA (UDOTS) &and other information systems to avoid backlogs.
Utilization of facility EMR system and other information systems to ensure all prevention indicators are fully entered and updated timely to support real time patient/client management and reporting.
Data Verification and Cleaning:
Conduct monthly and quarterly data cleaning in the UDOTS & DREAMS systems to ensure quality reporting.
Ensure validation of trackers to support synchronisation of electronic and hard copy source documents.
Identify gaps and conduct DQA& SQA for the prevention and community programs.
Monitor, quantify, avail and ensure adequate stocks of both HMIS and Prevention tools at all health facilities and subgrantees.
Provide data and participate in CQI activities at all health facilities and safe spaces to improve reporting.
Conduct regular data days for DREAMS and Preventions programs ensuring data completeness and quality.
Reporting and Documentation:
Ensure 100% timely reporting and accuracy in the UDTOS and other reporting systems
Provision of program data to support inform real time interventional program implementation and decision making.
Provide weekly surge performance for data use to inform timely program implementation.
Analyze and support staff to conduct quarterly, monthly and weekly performance reviews for gap analysis and taking corrective action.
Participate in the Analysis and presentation development for the program meetings.
Supervise of community sites, health facilities and safe spaces to ensure quality programming.
Ensure availability and utilization of all prevention tools’ stocks at all times.
Confidentiality:
Ensure confidentiality of beneficiary and patient data for DREAMS programs.
Contribute to the development and enforcement of data security measures. Collaboration and Communication:
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
A minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Information and Communication Technology, Medical Records or any other related field of study.
Experience in using Microsoft Excel, DHIS2 based systems and other data collection and reporting tools
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Fluency in commonly spoken local languages is an added advantage.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Self-driven, result oriented and ability to work under minimum supervision
Ability to speak Fluently in written and spoken English
Physical Ability: A ability to reside in the rural areas of Kayunga
Supervisory Controls: The individual will serve under the immediate supervision of the Data Officer Prevention.
Contract Tenure: 1 year with a possibility of extension subject to availability of funding.
