About US:

Multi Community Based Development Initiative (MUCOBADI) a local NGO founded in 2000 by Community Development Volunteers to bring development, but in particular to support people living with HIV to be productive. MUCOBADI is registered as a Non-Government Organization (S.5914/7569) and is incorporated as a company limited by Guarantee.

 

Job Summary:  The General Assistant will be responsible for general cleanliness of the premises and its surrounding including the compound with close supervision from the Project Accountant.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Empty dust bins or similar receptacles, taking the waste material to designated collection points.
  • Sweep and mop the floors and ensure that all rooms are free of any dirt including cobwebs.
  • Dust, damp wipe, wash or polish furniture, ledges, window sills, external surfaces of cupboards, shelves and fitments.
  • Clean the MUCOBADI washrooms and replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, etc) as may be required
  • Ensure MUCOBADI office surroundings including the compound are kept clean and free of litter at all times.
  • Ensure that there is clean and safe cool water for staff to drink at all times
  • Attend to organization plants around the office premises (if any) and ensure they do not wither.
  • Clean and tidy up the food serving points (eating areas) as well as the pantry and ensure there is no spillage or litter of food lying around.
  • Work with the Administrative Assistant to ensure that there is ample stock of staff nourishment items and other requirements at all times.
  • Whenever required, support to serve the teas and lunch to the staff as per the designated times
  • Ensure cleanliness of the culinary wares and utensils used to serve staff teas and meals
  • Any other duties assigned by your supervisor(s).

 




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant should have preferably have completed O’ Level.
  • Should be able to read and write with at least one year of work experience in similar role;
  • Willingness to comply with all laws and organizational regulations at all times.
