Centre for Integrated Research and Community Development Uganda, CIRCODU is a non-profit organization that promotes health awareness, sustainable energy resource use and environment conservation by integrating research and development. The organization was founded in 2006 and is dully registered under the Uganda Companies Act.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform general word processing tasks, handle telephone and email inquiries, create and maintain filing systems, manage diaries, and schedule appointments for staff.
- Develop and maintain efficient office systems.
- Arrange meetings and take minutes as required.
- Manage stationery and equipment supplies by ordering and organizing them.
- Organize and store paperwork, documents, and computer-based information.
- Maintain an inventory of all CIRCODU equipment and property, including the laboratory equipment.
- Greet and attend to all visitors.
- Keep records of utility bills and remind management of payment deadlines.
- Coordinate office property repairs, replacements, and maintain a clean and tidy office environment.
- Safeguard company documents, equipment, and calibration certificates.
- Supervise the Welfare Officer, Security Officers, and Office Cleaner.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor(s) as needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a degree in any field and a relevant professional qualification.
- Two to three years of experience in a field organization.
- Experience in handling service providers.
- Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management, and basic bookkeeping procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in record management, both electronic and hardcopy documentation.
- Knowledge of proposal development is a plus.
- Experience in project planning and project management.
Desirable Skills:
- Strong self-motivation and integrity.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective teamworking and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Capability to work under pressure and meet tight guidelines.
- Punctuality and reliability.
