Job Summary:  As our HR Shared Services and Recruitment Officer will provide high-quality HR administrative support to us and will be a first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR and Recruitment related inquiries. This includes supporting the onboarding of new team members in our office in Lubowa, Uganda. The officer will report to the Senior Lead – HR Shared Service.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to HR-related inquiries from employees and managers raised through our Ticketing system within Service level agreement
  • Help administer HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding and documenting employee changes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in the HR system and other HR-related databases.
  • Provide end-to-end wellness support, addition and deletion of staff to the medical/GPA GLA schemes and follow up with the relevant service providers.
  • Produce HR reports and analyze HR data to support decision-making.
  • Provide administrative support in the preparation of new hire contracts, contract renewals, and employee change documents.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all HR-related information.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for Uganda
  • Coordinate pre-onboarding for new team members in our office in Lubowa, Uganda
  • Update all recruitment trackers

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must be a Diploma Holder / Degree Holder preferably in Human Resource
  • Three years of HR related experience
  • Experience and a high capacity for managing multiple tasks and people simultaneously while delivering high-quality output
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
