Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred. The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors. Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English, and Chinese competency will be a plus.

 

Job Summary:  We are searching for a coating applicator with great attention to detail. The coating applicator will be expected operate blasting and spray machine, apply the necessary coatings in accordance with the project specifications or as directed by supervision. The ideal candidate will be able to understand clients’ visions, follow directions, and complete projects on time and to budget.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Prepare, verify, document and apply the specified coatings in accordance with
  • manufacturer technical data sheets and project procedures.
  • Document and inspect the blast condition of substrate prior to paint, document coat batch numbers, lot numbers, dry film thickness and daily ambient conditions.
  • Inspect each coat for quality and adherence to the project specifications.
  • Works with the shipping personnel to assure proper protection of final product.
  • Document with pictures for the file. Provides “touch-up’s” when required.
  • Be instrumental in making sure in process quality control paperwork is being kept current along with the tabulation of the final document package.
  • Operate and maintenance blasting machine & painting machines and coating tools.
  • Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
  • Reviewing and implementing work orders and assignments
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant majors
  • One year of similar onshore pipeline construction experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills
  • Good balance and physical strength.
  • Fluent in English, and Chinese will be a plus.
